Not true. It can allow them to understand more about what they like and want. Communicating these wants and desires can allow for a more pleasurable first experience. Many people find they feel awkward in not knowing what to do. So for a partner to teach them what they like is beneficial for both partners. It is still a lovely experience with someone you care about. Masturbation is never something to be shamed either. It doesn't make anyone less "pure" because of it. What you do in your own time, or with those you are in a sexual relationship is your business and no one else's. My girlfriend was my first so I didn't have the experience she did. It didn't make it worse or better than it would have been otherwise. We learnt about it each other sexually in terms of likes and dislikes. There were a few laughs when there were mistakes. Mistakes will tend to occur. Like when you're both happy to see each other and accidentally both dive in for a kiss only to clash teeth. With someone you care and get along with, it can help to show them what you like but you don't have to if you don't want to. Masturbation is a personal choice. Doing it, or not doing it are both right. It just depends on what you want. Masturbating won't however, decrease the pleasure that can be had in sexual intimacy.M.H
