I think that my period will stop eventually. I have been having this perimenopausal symptom for two year, but my period is still appearing from time to time. They are not regulating, as they used to be, but still are present. Often I think of this as torturing. Also, I think that you are incredibly happy because your period just stops. There is no chance to surprise you in inconvenient time.

i am 46 years old and my periods havent shown for about a month now, i am hoping that this is it ! lol or am i being presumptious?

You should try Evening Primrose for you night sweats. I refused to take any hormones and my Dr. recomended Evening Primrose and all my hot flashes stopped immediately and it's been great ever since. I've been taking it for about 4 years.

greetings to all here and am glad for the ginko advice. hasnt anyone tried pranayam and yoga as it really helps in keeping a good attitude. being a reiki master i know energy levels at this time really go low. ones patience runs out and you feel you might hit the bucket soon. Our well being lies in taking ones own responsibility and being in charge of our life . This is the right moment to get in touch with your higher self and try some spirituality. cheer up life is good, love yourself and live your best. God Bless

I am 46 years old. I have two kids ages 4 and 8. And I too have not had a period in 3 months. Thank you for all of the advice especially in regards to the Ginkgo. I seem to have a lot of problems with my attitude. My patience is zero. Any advice about that? Also, I have had a rapid loss in sex drive. That is NOT good!! I work out, ride my bike and take fish oil and flax seed everyday.. I guess I will contact my gyno. I do not wish to take any hormone replacement.. I fell I may be a little depressed too..... These are all very unusual events in my life.. The change is part of nature.. Any advice??

There are many many different ways to get menopause relief you'll just have to find what works for you. Diet is really important and exercise but I literally would be under a rock with out my menopause supplement. It has saved my sanity. Before you go the HRT route I would encourage you to try natural methods first - they really work and you won't have to worry about side affects.

Hello, I am 46, and in the last six months my periods have been geting closer and closer, I used to be regular 26-28 days, now 21 days, anyway, I was due 5 days ago and I haven't started yet, I have had very, very light brown spotting today, and I feel really good. I don't feel the usual pms symptoms, just a little irritability. I thought I might be pregnant, but I have taken 4 tests in the past week and all were negative. I am on progesterone cream continuously due to really bad pms and hormonal imbalance.

I keep waiting & hoping each month that mine will stop. I am 52, and have had mine since I was 9 years old. The only time I have ever been without it is when I was pregnant with my 3 daughters. I would have thought by now it would at least be slowing down, but no, it comes faithfully every 21 days. I'm tired of having it.

Hi,

I am forty-six years old and I have been having a period once a week for the past three months. It stars for a few days maybe four then stops for five or six days. The last one I had was six days ago and now I started again I have been to the Dr. and I was told I was in menopause. I have the hot flashes and mood swings but this period thing is upseting me. Is this part of the normal menapause cycle??? Please someone let me know asap.

Thanks,
Kim

I am 50 and have had odd periods for the last couple years. My periods were 4-6 weeks apart most of my life. For the last couple years they were only 3 weeks apart! Ugh! During my period it stops and starts several times over the course of the week. Even worse, I get cramps every day during it. I used to only get cramps the first day. Now they last several days! Thank goodness for Advil! The last few months, though, my periods are farther apart again, a little over 4 weeks. I'm hoping that means the end is in sight!
