So glad to have stumbled onto this topic. I'm 45 years old with 3 children ages 26, 8 and 6. I will now try the evening primrose oil as I am moody and forgetful. As for the hot flushes, they are ongoing. Thank you others for the tips and the insight into what is happening to our bodies.

I had my last period on my birthday in September. Have not had one since that was four months ago. No hot flashes or symptoms of Menopause but I think I am there now. I turned 50 ..( guess no denying my old age now. Even though I am still handing on to 45 lol.

HI All, I'm 55 and STILL having my period. When is this going to ENDDDDDD??? I am unaware of any meno symptoms. I went for several months without a period and then on Xmas day, it arrived in full force. Now, it is back again on Jan 19. Just when I thought this was over, it came back. I have NO hot flashes, no mood swings, nothing. If meno marks the middle of your life. I apparently am going to live to be 500 years old!!

You sound like my mom before she got alzheimer's. The sticky note thing was here too. I'd look into it to see if there's anything you can do to help ward it off... ie, fish oil nutrition etc.

I am 48 yrs old and my period is still going strong and I heavier than it use to be not to mention the cramps and horrible PMS. I'm wondering every month is this over and it should be by now. Not to mention everyone I know my age is over and done with their period yet I'm still stocking up every month for the following month. I want to be done with this part of my life and yet I don't want whiskers either.

Hi, I am 41 and not had a period since October. Didn't even think it possible to be the menopause and went to the docs as for about 2wks in December I suffered intense hot sweats/night sweats constantly and was not just clammy but wet. He was sure it was the menopause. I was shocked as a year before I was pregnant but unfortunately this ended in my 4th miscarriage (probably because of my lower progesterone levels) I was advised to take evening primrose oil and sage leaf twice a day and weirdly and suffering no mood swings or sweats. Not sure if I am just incredibly lucky to go through it so easily or it is the tablets but I would recommend sage leaf.
