Hi, I've notice during my last sexual intercourse the blood in my semen. Is blood in semen related to any health disorder? What could it be indicating?
Hi, I also had hematospermia, the presence of blood in the ejaculate some time ago. The condition is associated with ejaculation after a long period of abstinence, however the cause remains unknown. It is benign and usually goes away on its own. Urologists see hematospermia in the office, so your not the only one. Usually they offer support without any medical treatment. If you go to see urologist examination will include a history and physical examination, rectal exam, a urinalysis and often a PSA blood test. So, if all other possible reasons for blood in semen are eliminated it is not a dangerous condition.
If it has only happened once, and was a very small amount, then its not a problem.
