I had this done on New Years Eve day. I got an infection within a day of having it done but I thought, great, even if I get a period from here on out it should be lighter and wont cause me as many problems. Since Ive had it done I have had the spotting/bleeding non-stop. Some days it would get pretty light to where I think it was going away and then the next day the actual bleeding would start up again. I get bad period/labor like cramps in my pelvic area and along my hip. Now I have just started bleeding heavier with a few clots and Im thinking its my actual 1st period after the ablation. This is around the time I would be starting my period had I not had the ablation. Now I realize that my dr said we wont know if it worked or not for 3 months but if this bleeding lasts beyond what my normal periods used to Im going to be really irritated. Has anyone had this much bleeding and then it lighten up as the end of the 3 months get closer? Does the ablation throw your cycle off track or would they still some at the normal time? I did talk to my nurse about it a few days ago and she said as the uterus heals, scabs can fall off and cause the bleeding to start over, but this is just driving me and my husband crazy. I feel like it was a waste and now Im going to be out almost 1000.00 for this procedure. Had I known it would cost this much and give me all these problems I would have just opted for the hyst.
