I am 35 weeks pregnant now, at my 9th week scan I was detected with an enlarged right ovary to which my Gynaec said she would think about it after delivery, at my last visit to her she mentioned we will have to remove the right ovary, she gave me 3 situations
-If I had a normal delivery and in the process of labour if the enlarged ovary got entwined we would have to do a surgery to remove it, immediately after the birth of my baby.
-If I had a C-section its best we remove the ovary since they will be disecting me anyways.
-If it is a normal delivery and the scan shows the ovary is in position not entwined then will have to return for a scan after a month, hoping the hormonal imbalance had caused increase in size of the ovary.

I am confused I do not know if I should give my consent for removal of ovary what are the side effects?? Are there medications I could take to bring the size to its normal?
