My 80 yr old mother has had a problem with excessive mucus in her throat for several months. She has had breathing tests, x-rays and a mri-allare clear. When she talks it seems to gag her and she is able to cough a little out at a time. It is clear mucus. Her doctor has put her on antibiotics and a non-steroidal inhaler saying she had bronchitis. I thought mucus from bronchitis is yellowish.
What course of action would be best at this time?
