Hi. This problem of mine started probably a year ago, and I haven't gotten it checked out yet. Started with trouble swallowing liquid, just normally drinking a glass of water I would have to swallow some water, pause, swallow some more, pause, etc. Then, with eating the same way, I felt as if food isn't going down the right pipe too well. Sometimes I'll burp up just a little bit of whatever I just ate, sometimes with an acidic taste in there. Now, I'm noticing that I am hacking up more mucus than I was used to. For the past week, I've had trouble sleeping, where I'll go asleep for maybe 2 hours, then wake up and not be able to go back to sleep by another 5-6 hours. Some relevant information: I used to smoke cigarettes, and I still drink alcohol about 2 days out of the week. Any ideas?
