Two days ago I experienced such cramping and pain in my abdomen after sex that I almost fainted, and could barely walk. I figured it was just that my boyfriend hit my cervix really hard or something, even though the sex was not that rough. But it's been about two whole days now and the pain is still there, and my abdomen is swollen and hurts really bad if it's pressed. It has also radiated upward from the uterus area and is mostly centered around my belly button and just under my ribs. And from time to time it's really painful to breathe normally, and laughing or coughing is outrageously painful. It's hard to walk and move around, and the pain has lessened a bit but it's still bad enough that I don't think I could go to work like this, or walk for a long period of time. Also I should mention that a bit before that I bled after sex with him, and I have been eating a lot of outrageously spicy food, and have also been under extreme amounts of stress. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I've tried looking up things on the internet but it seems like abdominal pain like this can mean so many different things.

I felt the same way you felt too! I have bad abdominal pains and it hurts to cough and laugh or sneeze! I'm doing a lot of researching on it. Did you talk to the guy you had sex with? I told my guy and he's worried about it. I know that the pains can mean so much things. I'm just scared that it's endometriosis, but I don't think it should be. Can. I could be wrong. I have a bad headache too and I don't know if it's linked with he abdominal pains. My researches always say to go see your doctor and I would if only I could afford it! So I hope you're doing better and the best of luck.

I used to have this pain pretty common especially during sex. about 6 months after the pain started I ended up in the emergency room with severe pain all over my abdomin. The doctors thought it was my appendix but when they went in to remove it they found a very large cyct on my ovary. the ovarian cyst that had busted I had to have it removed and am still recovering. I suggest you get it checked out. If i would have had it treated I would not have had to have surgery.

On thursday, the 14th me and my boyfriend were having sex and when we started I felt a sharp pain that I've been feeling the past couple of times. We moved around and it went away...we had really good sex then two minutes after we had sex I had heavy intense sharp pain in my abdominal area. I wanted to cry because the pain was so unbearable. I go up and tried standing and I couldn't stand up all the way. I went to the bathroom and when I went I felt so much pain in my abdominal area. He didn't know what to do and he tried calling a doctor he knew but didn't answer. We called my mom and she just told me that it happens and I need to relax. About 20 min after laying there it finally went down but when I got up to go downstairs with his family the pain was still there but it wasn't as bad. Today is Saturday and the pain is still here. Should I be worried? My mom told me that I'm fine but she's no doctor. I've tried researching but I'm not getting good results until I found this page. I'm getting worried and I've also had a headache...and haven't been able to make a bowel movement...and really haven't had an appetite.

this happened to me on sunday, when i woke up after the saturday after my boyfriend stayed over. It feels like menstrual cramps, but it's nowhere near my period and it's a constant pain more to the left of my abdominal area. I've tried to take painkillers which work for a while, but sometimes, especially when i'm trying to get to sleep the pain is too much and i can't sleep because of it. Today is tuesday and the pain is still there. I'm also not getting any good results, as there are a number of things with similar symptoms, but none seem to go into detail that would be beneficial.

I was leading towards a UTI (Urinary Tract infection), but everything seems to be saying the same thing. I didnt want to go to a doctor until i knew for sure that there was definetly something wrong and that the pain wasn't just due to the night beforehand, but as the pain seems to have lasted this long i think it's unevitable.

If anybody seems to narrow it down to anything, then that would help alot.

It could be Endometriosis, this can cause pain with (and after) intercourse and abdominal pains, I would suggest discussing it with your GP.

I am also in the same boat. Waiting for monday to see my gyn since i have no insurance and cannot afford the hospital ER. I believe it could be endometriosis, cysts, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. I am hoping my gyn can do an ultrasound on the spot and help me alleviate the symptoms. Please let us know what you find out.

Hey me and my girlfriend have had unprotected sex (I came inside of her) yesterday and she´s suffering from some sort of abdominal pain(just below ribs and under bellybutton above the bladder I believe) since this morning and has elapsed into a continuously worse state- to the point where she's crying and it hurts to walk or stand/sit up, I did some research on forums and they listed it to possibly be Ovarian Cyst or Endometriosis. Her mother almost always refuses her to see a doctor about any problems she has, saying she's ''going to be fine'' and ''it´s nothing''.
The pain is re-occurring whenever she moves. We have just tried a painkiller but I'm worried something may be wrong and therefore am seeking proffessional help (since I can't contact or pay for a doctor or gyno, we're both 16 and she´s on the BCP- takes it every night at 9 (we have an alarm+automatic text message set daily at 9pm sharp as to not forget it and she has taken it for over a month ago (having been on for a previous 4 months to that).
Is there any possible treatments for such this pain?
Any possible causes for such pain?

I would be so ever greatful for a response asap,
Sam

The same thing is going on with me. Give her an ice pack to put on the sore area but anlternate it with a hot pack. 15min cold then 15 min hot. and have her drink a lot of water to rehydrate her muscles along with some ibprophen. For girls the muscles in the vagina are actually located all over the pelvic region and also on their sides. So sometimes if you do an uncomfortable position or are too rough during intercourse these muscles tense up and can get easily sprained, causing severe pain that will last for days. As the healing process begins you may feel the sore areas in different spots, but the pain should never be worse. think of your muscles like rubberbands, you have to flex them gently, if you flex a rubberband too fast then you risk it snapping, or in this case spraining.Ovarian cysts however can also be a cause of this pelvic pain. your ovaries are located which appears to be on the inside of your hipbones. so if this is the general area of pain i would see your gyno about checking for them. Be careful, Be faithful, and be Gentle ;)

Women all over the world are wishing your boyfriend could come visit. No, I experience the same thing. He is a tall lumberjack type body and im petite and slim. Sometimes it triggers cramps and maybe you'll start your period soon. If you tightened your kegal muscles while sex it will make you sore the next day. Damn those hard thrusting men.)

I hope someone could provide a little advice for me. I'm 23 years old and a healthy weight after losing 5 stone (yippee). I first experienced an awful, sharp pain inside my vagina (deep pain, not at the opening) on my left side about 6 weeks ago with my boyfriend and I had awful pains in my abdomen. I also bled a little afterwards and the pain continued for a few days along with shooting pains inside my vagina. Ever since then whenever we have tried the same has happened. More recently in the last 2 weeks I have been experiencing upper left abdominal pains which range from just a discomfort to a sharp shooting pain and I also get pains/a feeling of pressure being put on the lower part of my lungs, mostly to the left side. About 80% of the time it gets worse after a big meal. Has anyone else experienced this?
I am waiting for an ultrasound but it's not until the end of this month, I've been tested for urinary infections and pregnancy and both came back negative, I'm also on birth control pills and have never had problems with them since I started using them at 17 years old.
I have also just had my period and it was not normal for me at all, it was VERY light compared to what I normally have and it has pretty much stopped now after only 4 days when it is usually around 8-9 days for me. Any advice at all would be so appreciated as my Doctors are being extremely unhelpful.

Girls, if you experience such a pain, especially that doesnt go down after several hours, I say whether you are health insured or not go to emergency room. Yes, it could be nothing serious - but pains dont come for no reason. It could be, cyst, lump, abcess, appendix, gall bladder stones, urine bladder stones, some other infections, and G-d forbid cancer, etc... These could be deadly and lead to infertility (case of an abcess) - Reality! In my case it turned out being pelvic abcess which usually affects female reproductive system. I had similarly described above pains, except they were not after sex, they felt like menstrual cramps. My period was due in about a week. Just because I thought the pains may be linked to my girly time, I waited 30 hours before submitting myself to emergency room. Finally, I faced the reality and recognised that the pains though seem like period pains were different in the sense that they werent coming and going cramps, it was consistent pain. I couldn't move my legs as it gave pains to stomach, I barely walked, I lost apetite for except chicken soup, I had fever, I vomited once half hour after taking advil pain reliever when pain just started. I felt extremely cold for several hours before I used heating pad. Be aware of those measures too - the heating pad helped me tremendously to warm up, however in case of appendix it may burst it with incorrect use, which can be deadly. You should not be having pains that disabling you either partially or fully, or that disturbing you. Luckly I had someone near me who helped me along the way and drove me to the hospital. So, now while there are many better things I'd like to focus on, I spend great deal of time trying to find about the extent of the damage I got from the abcess and how to get follow-up care which is difficult to get, dreading over possibility of further surgeries that may be more invasive and spending hours on research. Lots of fun! Get yourselves checked, get help and hope that its nothing serious! Its better to break your routine for a few hours or a few days to find out you had minor issue or no issue at all, rather than risk getting serious consequences. Best to all of you!
