Hoping for some help here. I've had sub scapularic tendinitis for yrs now. I've just started get the extreme pain under my left shoulder blade and hurts when trying to take deep breaths, yesterday was so bad that I ended up on the floor on my bike in agony and I couldn't move for ages.

My son came from work with severe pain in his right shoulder blade; it hurts when he breathes, and he is having to take shallow breaths. Is this something dangerous?
