I've been having a problem for years concerning an itch I have on my upper body. It comes and goes, and sometimes the itching can last for extended periods of time. It ranges from anywhere from about a minute to just short of an hour. It usually occurs when I am in the middle of something like doing the dishes and sometimes even occurs before I actually do anything. Like today for instance, I was putting the bag on the lawnmower when my back had this ridiculously intense itching sensation and it took over thirty minutes for it to subside, I can even feel the beginnings of it right now as I am typing this. If anyone knows what this is or has any suggestions for a treatment or cure I would be overjoyed to hear them.

For me, I have the same thing. I think that it's just hormones. If I can ask you, are you male or female? Because I'm male, and this started when I was 13 and hasn't ever stopped. What do you think?

Maybe you have an allergy to something you eat commonly. Is it your back or your chest or both? It could also be a soap you use every now and then, or even a shirt you have. If you are going to scratch the itch, try taking off your shirt(if you are male) and wash with a rag where the itch is, then scratch it. I hope this helps you! I feel bad...
