I am a 20 year old male 5'11" and weigh 190 lbs and ever since mid summer I started feeling light headed after every meal. I started working as a landscaper for the first time and I don't know if being in the sun for 10-12 hours a day without being able to drink as much water as I should had anything to do with it, but I still get the symptoms now and it's winter time. I tend to eat my meals extremely fast and a lot at a time, but the symptoms are also present after a small snack eaten slowly. I drink water with 80% of my meals and only have a soda once or twice a week. I also experienced a traumatic situation mid summer where I had to break down my bathroom door to find my brother almost dead on the floor from a heroin overdose. I dont know if that has anything to do with my symptoms but I read somewhere that traumatic experiences can cause low blood pressure. If anyone has any insight on what may be causing my symptoms and how to stop them it would be greatly appreciated.

You present with a unique set of symptoms. You should perhaps trying to slow down when eating. Eating so fast could cause the food to "dump" into your gastric system, causing your blood sugar to spike and then decrease rapidly, causing your lightheadedness. This is the only thing I can think of if it is indeed food-related. I am unsure if you eat the same type of foods all the time, but a food allergy is something to consider as well. I wish I had more answers for you. Do you have any other symptoms that are concerning to you? Have you had your blood pressure checked recently?

I believe I got it checked the beginning of September but I think it was fine. I am a college student making my own food for every meal so I guess my choices aren't always the best but I usually eat burgers, chicken, pasta, and pizza and I have never had any problems with those foods before.
