I know sweetie , it feels like life will never be normal again but it will. I stopped Zoely last year August, symptoms started with my first period but nothing extreme just mild depression which I couldn't understand but I crashed in my second month as my period ended. this month (month 5) has been the best so far. 95% myself. symptoms have become VERY mild, first month without anxiety (mine would hit after my period and get worse during ovulation) emotionally I'v been more stable as well, I get a little negative now and then but its nothing I cant deal with. The OCD thoughts have stopped and life is making a lot more sense again. I did use vitamins and minerals though and took long walks in the beginning (used to gym every day before ) now I'm able to train again daily.
i'm still taking my supplements etc....
Vit C
Vit b5, b6 and b12
Vit d3
Omega 3
Zinc,
Magnesium
Cortisol balance (by Medford) for 2 months which helped balance my cortisol and stop the panic and anxiety.
Probiotic (it helps with brain fog) I struggled with brain fog to such a degree that I felt everything around me wasn't real, but just a dream one of the worst symptoms for me
Ive also heard about GABA being very good for OCD thoughts and physical anxiety symptoms
A balanced diet of whole foods, protein and carbs and veggies at every meal... nothing processed, no sugar no coffee.... i'm able to eat sugar and drink a coffee again now and then.
Hot Epsom salt baths helped a lot too before bed.... a friend and my mom went through this too and confirmed it was hormonal so they were great support through it.
Hope this helps a bit

It does and you have replied to some of my other posts and your situation sounds so similar to mine it really helps!
Did you go to a psychologist or just persist through it? I’m constantly anxious it’s horrible xx

Hey ladies! So I had my period and was doing pretty good after. A little irritable, but life is stressful as I’m in graduate school and pulling 80-90 hour weeks. Anyway, I’m 7 days past my period and yesterday and today I noticed my anxiety starting to rise again. Mostly ROCD thoughts. Now they definitely are near what they were in the beginning but I just hate the feeling of them creeping back. Last night I had a really bizarre dream, which I’ve had before. That I was seeing someone else and was super happy. Yet at the same time in the dream I could recognize that I was sad to be cheating and be unfaithful to my SO. When I woke up from this dream my anxiety just went through the roof.
Has anyone else experienced dreams like this? Just makes the anxiety that much harder. Feel like I can’t escape this mess. This month I will be 11 months off.

I did have counseling with my pastor and elders at church when it all started . I didn't want a psychologist as i was afraid they would misdiagnose me and try put me on anti depressants and that's the last thing i wanted because I know that antidepressents make things worse not better. I also noticed trends where i would be falling apart and then out of the blue be mentally clear again and that's when i figured that it was a physiological response. My mom was great, she went through this durng menopause so se recognized whata was going on immediately and just kept encouraging me to give my body time to heal. Look there were days where i wondered if it wouldever stop, when you in it you feel this is it its not going to stop but it has to, every crisis has an end.
The anxiety is not nice at all so i hear you loud and clear, if you can, go to a health shop and ask them for ashwagandha, or something to balance your cortisol.... it takes up to 3 weeks to kick in properly. Also tray magenesium to help your nervous system .... everything takes time but its better than anti-anxiety / anti depressants as those can be addictive and just cause more harm than good... not with everyone but not sure its worth the risk.

Hey there, well it sounds like you've made progress whne you says its not as bad as in the beginning ... that's excellent (keep reminding yourself of that) you heading into your ovulation week , I also struggled with more anxiety during this period.
You seem to be under a lot of stress with studies which isn't doing much good as your cortisol levels are most likely always elevated which will slow down your healing process.
your body needs as much support as it can get at this time so that means eating healthy (clean proteins , no lunch meats etc, good carbs as in oats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, seeded bread etc fresh veggies either cooked or raw, and fruit, little to no coffee and sugar , no energery drinks,as this aggravates the adrenal glands and spikes cortisol levels which means your body will battle to produce adequate sex hormones an regulate hormone levels. you neeed plenty of good rest which I know is challenging with studies but if you want to get through this quicker, you going to need to pay closer attention to your health
Also some good vitamins and minerals to help with stress levels (magnesium and Vit be help the nervouse system, vit d, and c, zinc, omega 3 oils to bring down inflammation in your body.
hope this helps.... you will get through it !!! hang in there

It has been almost a month after i have gotten off nexplanon and wow this year was the toughest year of my life. I am still going through a hard time but it’s not as hard as it was before. I was dealing with the whole “i don’t feel in love” feeling with my boyfriend for months and it was so hard and painful and i couldn’t see myself getting out of that. Well i’m glad to tell you guys that I am out of that state of mind now! I can feel my feelings again while before I just wanted to break up with him because I felt so low about my feelings. I hope anyone that is dealing with the same pain sees this and knows that it will get better!
Thank you for that!! I got my nexaplanon removed and am having the worst time it’s been 9 weeks since the removal and symptoms started 3 weeks after that.
How long did it take you?

Hey guys, does anyone get dizzy at any times? :(
I do yes.... mostly during ovulation but at present i'm waiting for my period in a few days and i'm struggling with it
Omg same I am day 25 and PMS has hit me- I was feeling great this whole month but now am feeling run down, emotional, headachey and dizzy. Glad I'm not the only one!!
LOL I'm day 27 so yeah. Yesterday had a complete meltdown out of nowhere and was crying, or rather I was sobbing for new freaking reasonable reason. lol Also get the headaches and bloating so bad I feel like i'm waddling like a penguin ....
Yeah I got my symptoms about 3-4 weeks after removal, and every period has been rough but it did seem to get better and better every month. I’m still dealing with a lot and I feel like i’ve developed more anxiety and OCD then before. I’ve looked up PMDD and it’s basically PMS but more severe and I feel like I might have developed it but I’m not 100% sure. I’m going to a therapist and I had my first appointment last week and I brought it Nexplanon to her so she’s going to look into it and talk to me about it tomorrow! I’ll try to get back to you with any information!
I also initially thought I developed PMDD but that's also resolved. 5 months after symptoms started i'm now feeling my normal self again. Hang in there ladies it gets better, help your body as much as you can though to speed up the recovery.
Hi everyone,
Just wanting updated on how everyone’s going.
I can off nexaplanon 9 weeks ago symptoms started 3 weeks after with intrusive thoughts and panick attacks, vommiting, hair loss, no appetite.
I have over the past few days started to feel a little better. However the anxiety is still lingering but I did a full week at work which was good but I seem to be haunted by my thoughts. Is any one else struggling with this?
Thanks

The thoughts are the last to go away, took about 5 months for me to finally be mentally good again.
