how long since your symptoms started? I suppose going back on bc depends on your reason for going back on it.... if you want kids someday, you going to have to stop bc again and might run into this same issue again....
So true.
My symptoms started three weeks after the removal!
So happened pretty quickly which I guess is a good thing.
I actually thought because it took 3 weeks it couldn’t be related to having it removed
But iv heard of so many girls who get it like 2 and 3 months off bc

yes that's true..... so you still in early days , is will start getting easier from here on out.... one symptom at a time :-)
Hi girls, hope you’re all doing well. I’m officially a year and a month off, feeling so much better than I did when this all started. This month I haven’t really had symptoms at all aside from the “thought of the thoughts” which I’m assuming may take some more time to get over haha. I didn’t have a setback during ovulation which felt great! I’m supposed to be getting my period any day now though and tonight I’ve been having a bit of random irrational anxiety, convincing myself that I’m going crazy and what not but I’m reminding myself that I’m fine and it’s most likely just my hormones. I’m on spring break so I’m quite sleep deprived lately so maybe that has to do with it also. But, for the most part, I feel okay and I’ve had such good days recently, I won’t let any little setback get me down for too long. Much love and strength to you ladies!
Thanks for updating , so good to hear you doing good and haven't had any setbacks this month. I hear you on the thoughts about the thoughts... lol I guess our minds are still processing what happened. its normal to to want to come to terms with things that happened to us that was out of the ordinary .... and this experience was definatley out of the ordinary for all of us. We didn't see it coming!!!
Being sleep deprived can def make you feel not 100% yourself.
Its very encouraging to know that in time all gets better....
My last cycle was great... then about 5 days after my period I started feeling anxious and terribly depressed and hopeless and just when I thought it was going to last... it started going away and i've now had a really good 8 days in a row... i'm due for a period in a few days .... it seems that the last 2 weeks of my cycle are the best, I get physically tired like I just want to sleep and that my body is heavy like i'm walking around with a bag of rocks .... and then 10 - 12 days of negative... still way better one the whole than initially ....

Thank you! I can’t wait for the days we’re all 100% recovered. We just have to keep pushing through.
Hey girls, has anyone had really long cycles?
I'm 6 months off and haven't had a period for 62 days. Its worrying me now!

Hi! Don’t worry, I think a majority of us have dealt with long/irregular cycles due to this whole experience. It could be stress, diet, or simply from the hormone imbalance. Stay strong!!
yes that does happen with some ladies...that happened to me when I went off the pill the first time, I didn't have a period for a year, eventually I went to the Dr and was given something to trigger it.... you can wait it out and let your body do what its needs to or you can go see the Dr. another option is to google Dr Jolene Brighten, her website is very helpful and informative about what she calls Post Birth Control Syndrome... and gives advice on how to restore your hormone balance naturally.
Me neither!!! one day at a time sweetie.... we getting there.. slowly but surely
Thanks everyone. I really do worry about every small symptom because I had a surgery around the same time I came off BC and my intrusive thoughts tell me the surgery has done some brain damage or something. This whole thing feels like it's never going to end!
it will end sweetie.... but its going to take time along with determination to keep pushing through. You can do this!!!! We here for you
Hi everyone,
I have been off nexaplanon since the 18th of jan this year.
Symptoms started 3 weeks after that in feb.
I first started off not being able to eat and having panick attacks and crying all the time
Couldn’t work for a little bit and was just miserable.
I definitely have my appetite back, I’m able to laugh I still cry but not as much,
I do however still suffer from intrusive thoughts
I have harm ocd
So being alone with my partner makes me anxious.
Sometimes I’m okay but other times I’m highly anxious, I also have no sex drive. When I first came of bc it was super high now it’s non exisitant. I’m currently in my PMS week so I’m sure that’s why I’m a little more anxious.
Anyone have any updates ??

Hi, I’m a little over a year off and just know it gets so much better. I was only on the pill for 6 months, the withdrawal symptoms started 2 months after I stopped and I think I’m like 95% better. I dealt with the harm ocd and other really terrifying themes but those have faded away, I just get the anxious memories about the thoughts during times like ovulation/menstruation but it gets better with each month. Don’t worry, you’ll be okay in due time. Stay strong!
