Okay, not to say this problem can't be fixed, but I've had stomach issues--aches and nausea--since I was born. After 18 years of constant aches and pains, you still don't get used to it. I've been to doctors, specialists, hospitals, everything. They have tested me over and over for anything and everything that might be causing these problems, to no avail. It's an awful problem to have to I hope everyone here gets it resolved!

Silverbabe I am 19. 125 pounds on a heathly day. And I been struggling with nausea since I was a little girl. I get car sick. I get sick from being too tired, or waking up aruptly. I have had spells where I throw up for 12+ hours 16+ hours. They finally told me exploratory surgery on my pancrious was the only way. I WILL not do surgery unless I am already dying. So far I just struggle with it. I smoke to keep me from losing to much weight and most importantly so I can eat and live. I drink water all the time but almost never pee more than 5-6 seconds. I don't take any medications so I know that it's not side effects and I refuse to take any medications in pill form as this only upsets my stomach. Even vitiams. I can't take them. I can't drink milk. So maybe that helps..

I checked this forum a while back when my problems just started, and now that I've found a personal solution I felt compelled to come back and share what I've found out. If it helps for just one person, it will have been worthwhile.

So I'm male, 20, and started to feel constantly sick which lasted for two months. I got prescribed omeprazole which initially helped, but I soon regressed back to my previous state. I have since had to leave University because it was affecting my studies too much. I went to Spain for Christmas and got more omeprazole from a local chemist (they're much more easy-going about medication out there, you can even buy antibiotics). After talking to the chemist he said that omeprazole is a very dated drug, and doesn't always work for everyone. Having come back and had a comprehensive blood test, I was told that stress would be the most likely cause of my condition because my results suggested good health. After hearing this I've taken measures to relax and have begun practicing a new exercise routine as well as a bit of yoga. I have to say that I'm a far cry from how I was previously. I used to feel as if I was constantly on the brink of vomiting, which worsened with anxiety. Whenever I went anywhere the thought of vomiting stressed me out, and I found lectures absolutely horrible. I was always worried that I'd throw up in the middle of the lecture and the thought of it made my heart pound. It was a never ending cycle, really. Now, while I'm not totally back to normal, I'm well on the road to recovery.

I have noticed that a lot of the people posting are around my age range. I'm not about to imply that everyone has the same problem here, but I have a feeling that stress manifests itself differently when you reach a certain age. If you think that your problems are similar to mine and you live a stressful life, please just give relaxation techniques a try. Persevere with them, they won't change everything overnight. Another thing to add is that I now drink much, much more water than I previously did. Looking back, I drank next to no water every day and went out drinking a couple of times a week. When I got back from Uni I asked my mum to buy me two 1.5ltr bottles of water, which I fill up every day. I make sure that I drink at least one bottle by the time I go to bed, aiming to drink at least one and a half. Before I felt constantly lethargic, but now I feel energized and generally a lot more positive. If you'll do anything to get rid of this stomach problem, you owe it to yourself to try something similar.

Good luck

I have the exact same problem, but it only happens during winter. 4th year now. The only time this didn't happen was last year. It used to be just mornings, now it's mostly all day and night. :( I'm thirteen and it's really hard to go to school with this, and I've missed a lot of school. People think it's anxiety, but I know it can't be?

Hi, I'm from the post above you. Can you think of anything different that happened to you last winter, compared to the other ones? I think I can relate to your situation; the thought of going to school with your sick feeling is unpleasant, and it worries you that you're not getting any better. If you're worrying about it, it ends up like a bit of a cycle. The worry and stress over feeling sick all the time was what kept me from going to University, and I had no way of switching off and trying to relax. You're only thirteen, but if you're stressed you should talk to a parent about how your stomach problems are worrying you and you think that that's the reason that they are so persistent.
Hope you feel better soon.

maybe you have a parasite inside you that is sucking away your nutrients and eating your food, maybe thats why you can eat a bunch and still continue to lose weight is because the parasite is actually eating your food...

I've had this in the past, and it was all down to anxiety. I went to see my doctor about it who referred me to counselling and after a few sessions the problem went away

I also for the past few weeks have felt nauseous everyday and take nausa pills every 4 hrs. I have also been having bad nerves and some panic attacks that doesn't help but I feel that way because I don't know what's wrong with me. I always think the worst. I had my gallbladder out in Jan. and I will also have some diarriah too.  I have IBS. I don't have Celiac because I was tested for it. When I went to the ER a few weeks ago I had so much gas that my stomach was in alot of pain and I was dehydrated also so they kept me over night. They did a scan on me and said they couldn't find anything wrong. I've just had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago before this nausua started and everything was fine.  When I feel sick to my stomach that is the worst feeling I could have because I hate to throw up. This is debilitating because I don't feel like doing or going anywhere. I feel helpless. I don't want there to be anything bad wrong with me but I don't know why I'm feeling nauseous everyday!! I'm so tired of this. I can't function like a normal person and I know my husband would love for me to be well and do things with him. He starts his vacation in a couple of weeks and I don't know what to do about this. I don't feel like getting out in the hot sun or anything. I just feel weak and lay around and sometimes use a heating pad on my stomach which helps. I'm at my wits end. I am a Christian and believe in healing but I know God doesn't heal everyone.  I just pray for the day that I can eat a full meal and not to feel nauseated!!  Please help me anyone if you have any encouragement that this will pass. I've never done this before and have it last for weeks. Please help me if you can!! Thanks so much!%-)

hi, i keep on feeling sick all the time, i've been suffering with nausea for the past 2 mnths and i'm only 15. I can't eat full meals, i can only manage eating a sandwich, i tried eating whole foods like nuts and crackers, they only work for  a bit. The nausea is worse in the morning and gets slightly better towards night-time. In the first 2 weeks, it was quite bad, i kept gagging, but after a while, i learnt to control it. It's gotten to the point where i panic a lot, i think it's just anxiety, but i don't know what set it off. I also tryed having Rennies, but don't work at all. I have taken out dairy, and don't eat yogurts anymore, as yogurts somehow worsen it. I really don't know what to do, it's getting to the point where i'm scared to eat. I went to the doctors for panic attacks and a dry mouth and diarrhea , but didn't help at all, just said school counselling, but didn't even have a appointment and was around 3 mnths ago. It seems that the less i eat, the less i have diarrhea and the less i panic, my family knows about it, but none of my friends know, i even get scared to eat at school, because i think i'll be sick. I've had throat infections in the past, to the point where i coulden't breathe properly. I just need help..
