You may also want to have your thyroid check. I recently had an endoscopy done bymMy gastroenterologist because of the sensation that something is stuck in my throat. Fortunately, he found nothing. However, in a more recent visit to my primary doctor, she noticed that my thyroid is enlarged, and has ordered an ultrasound of the thyroid; which she says would not be viewed by the endoscope. While researching enlarged thyroids aka goiter, I learned of some of the symptoms, and the sensation that something is stuck is one of them. I haven't gotten the ultrasound yet, but will be doing so soon. I'm not sure if the thyroid is the problem, however, if it is, then at least its a start to hopefully correcting the problem. I've also learned that the thyroid can cause a multitude of problems, from hair loss, to bone and joint pain, just to name a few. It doesn't hurt to check into it, and be persistent with your doctors. Only you know your body best. Good luck!!

Perhaps you have Tonsiliths, also known as tonsil stones are clusters of calcified material that form in the crevices of the tonsils. Tonsiliths can cause bad breath and tend to reek havoc on folks who suffer from allergies & respiratory problems. Most people sneeze out those smelly chunks but often they build up & remain ... which makes you think you have something stuck in your throat you can't swallow. There's youtube videos how you physically remove those but you must take extreme care not to damage tissue!

Hi I have been having this feeling of having "something" stuck in my throat since a week ago. I was eating an orange and once I sat down this feeling of something being stuck in my throat happened. I was sort of panicking and I had a hard time breathing because of it. I was in this same situation when I was younger , I ate a sandwich way to fast and had felt like something was lodged in my throat and started to have a panic attack, but when I went to the doctor they stuck a tube down my throat and I had an x-ray and they said nothing was wrong and that I was mentally doing that to myself, but it didn't go away until months! Maybe years of that feeling on and off. I am worried now because I don't want to go through that again, I tried some acid reflux medicine since it runs in my family and hopefully it'll go away.

HOW ARE YOU FEELING NOW SORRY ABOUT CAPITAL LETTERS AS MY LATO DOES NOT FUNCTION AS I SPILLED WATER SO I HAVE TO USE CAPITALS IN ORDER TO GET MOST OF THE LETTERS , ANYWAY DID THE REFLUX TABLETS WORKS WHAT TABLETS DID YOU TAKE, yOU MENTIONED THEY STUCK A TUBE DOWN YOUR THROAT DID YOU GO TO THE ent OR ENDOSCOY. DID THE TAKE THE XRAY LATER OR WHEN THE TUBE WAS IN YOUR THROAT , I JUST WISH WE HAVE ANSWERS TO OUR ISSUES AS THEY SEEM TO GO FROM ONE TO THE OTHER.

you won't believe that I had same problem but then someone suggest me to take coconut water morning and evening for atleat 1 week its only two time when i had it and i m feeling approx 80-90% better so if you can please have fresh coconut water, hope this will help you too.

 

unfortunately I am suffering from this thing last 3 years. I feel something stuck in my throat I am also having lots of mucus in my throat 24/7.I have heart burn problem too I am on pervacid twice daily for three month since taking this I  am not having heartburn anymore but still have that symptoms. I went to GI,Ent,allergie Dr took antibiotics too:-( feeling worst......plz pray for me 

It also happens to me for about over 2 months I also took Nexium for a month because primary doctor thought I might had heartburn I just went to specialist ENT yesterday and found out I have allergy but don't know what I allergic to. I guess should be dust because every times I do house cleaning (I'm a housewife) my eyes and face gets really itch. I think I probably have to do allergy test later. He gave me Sinus Rinse, Eye drop, Nasal spray and Cetirizine for a month and I have to go back seeing him again month later. Hope I will feel better soon and hope you all getting better

I had the Same Symptoms as you had described. It is started after I had Viral throat Infection and I had hard time to breath and Dr. had put me on steroids and then started antibiotic course for 21 Days. Dr. Take my blood test after antibiotic course and found H. Pylori Bacteria positive which could be the cause for generating more gas in stomach and doing pressure on diaphragm so it could not expand enough to get full breath satisfaction.

Well because no one has an explanation to this i have been suffering with this annoying feeling like something is stuck in my throat went to the emergency room and the doctor checked and said she saw a little redness so she gave me a steroid shot and i suggested some antibiotics just incase its a infection i will post results!!

that may be the case for you, but you sound extremely ignorant assuming everyone has the same thing or are exaggerating their symptoms when your the one that apparently doesn't even know how to eat.
Then to go as far to recommend medications when your obviously clueless is NOT helpful to anyone.
your post was almost completely irrelevant and you should be ashamed for trying to make someone whom has gone through multiple surgeries feel like it's somehow their fault.
if you don't have something intelligent or productive to say just go else where, there people are looking for help not simple-minded assumption based insults.

I have a chronic feeling of something in my throat and a spastic cough. Sometimes I feel that something is growin in my throat.I cough all day while I am at work, its very frustrating. I also feel a weird light headiness, constant drip in my throat. I am a smoker.
