My boyfriend and I have been trying to have sex every now and then over the past few months or so. Our first attempt hurt like h*ll even when he barely penetrated me; as we've continued things have been progressing and the last attempt we went a lot deeper, but I still experienced discomfort and had to stop.

At first I thought that this was because he's too big, particularly length wise, and this was partly confirmed considering I'm pretty sure he hit my cervix without even going the full way in last time - but the main issue I think is to do with my hymen, because in our more recent tries, I've noticed that everything feels fine during 'sex' except for a really intense pain at my vagina entrance. I had thought my hymen was broken as a few weeks ago after trying I bled a little, but I think this may have been a false alarm. Could this be what's causing the problem? If so, what can I do? I've tried 'breaking myself in' as it were with a masturbatory aid but it's not working and it really is very painful when I try. I thought that as I am technically sexually active my hymen would eventually break but it doesn't seem that way - is my hymen particularly thick or something, and should I see about a hymenotomy?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
If anything use a dildo and maybe You would like to put a condom on it to make penetration easier start off slow and go deep and that should help
