Hi I am 12 years old and On July 7th I got a tonsillectomy and I have just recently noticed that there are food particles stuck in on the right of where the tonsil used to be. The right side is also the place where I have the most pain do you think that the food is causing an infection. Also coming up there is a dance can I go to that or should I stay home? :'( XD

Hello there,

In my opinion you don’t have tonsil stones because you don’t have tonsils. So you should see with your parents to consult your doctor. Of course, I understand because of the upcoming dance, that you will avoid to see your doctor but it is better to be healthy than get yourself another complication regarding your throat. Anyhow, you are 12 years old so there are going to be bunch of dances but you must be healthy to attend them.

I believe that some throat infection is in question, but you need to see your doctor so he can confirm the diagnosis. Maybe nothing serious is in question so you could even get permission to attend the dance.

I swallowed a watermelon seed that is stuck in the pocket where my right tonsils used to be. Will my body eliminate it, or is this an issue for my doctor?
