Hi. I am a guy 52 years old, and I have a problem. As much as it is embarrassing, I must say that I have problems with my bladder. I wake up at night and I have an urge to urinate. That hasn't happened to me before, but last few weeks. I don't drink a lot of water before bed, just a bit that I need. Is there a way for me to stop it somehow?

Kidneys are complex organs. When you sleep, your body produces an antidiuretic hormone sort of "shuts down" your kidneys for the short periods of time. Over time, your body starts to produce this hormone in the smaller amounts, so your kidneys work over the night. This can be cured easily, by using nasal spray that contains an antidiuretic hormone that your body needs.
