I really thought I was the only one this happened to me about 3 weeks ago I got tested for STDs to be safe. The doctor prescribed me a steroid type cream and it has not helped. The strangest thing helps I use okefer's Working Hands cream, because I do construction on the side my hands crack and are irritated and hurt. That stuff really helps so I figured I would try it downstairs and it seems to really help. Home Depot carries it as well as most grocery stores and Walgreens. It's essentially just a really good moisturizer that helps put a barrier over the skin.... this is my third day and it seems to be almost totally healed. Good luck everybody

SOLUTION.....Had same thing. Manscape accident....ps use new sharp razor every time! Couldnt get it to heal with polysporin. Used perozide(bad), iodide (worse), Neosporin. Penaten, hydrocortizone cream..crazy glue...yada yada... would get close then usage reopened. Had tested and negative but after a month and a half i said f**k it ill try anything....so i went old school... i have creamed honey from a local producer and fabric bandaids with full adhesive sides around the gauges (they stay on the best) i cleaned up soap and water, dried, put a layer of honey on the gause about as this as the gause is...did that for a week.... and gone!!! Hope it works for ya cause was a pain for me and wish someone had written something that works this this a month before i figured it out.

BAG BALM
it has been said over many forums but bag balm (green tin) pretty much solved the issue entirely I got from walgreens after doing a little research after suffering the same friction tears. (no STD or yeast infection)
I think the reason zinc oxide and neosporin only work temporarily is because it heals the skin but leaves it dry and a little chapped. Bag balm heals but also keeps the sensitive skin on the penis soft so that you wont break the healed skin during sex or erections.

I literally went from having the same problems to using this stuff for only about a few days and everythings back to normal. I would only take the time to post this to help my fellow men.
Good Luck!

I know im kind of late here. But if my wife has a yeast infection, I get friction burns. It takes about 4 days for it to heal. This usually happens when she take antibiotics for something else. We just get her the medication (1 or 3 day monostate) she needsand then we get back to it.

I'm also late to this thread, but I'v had the same symptoms for months now. The cracks and tears on the foreskin right behind the rim of my penis. I tried almost all kinds of creams and lotions, but nothing helped. Then finally my doctor prescribes me Nystatin cream, and it healed it all within days. I'm able to move my foreskin back with ease now, whereas, in the past, I would be in pain even if I moved a little bit of my skin. Good luck!

After approximately 8 months of battling an abrasion/friction burn under the head of my penis, I finally found something that worked. It's crazy but Creamy Diaper Rash Ointment with zinc oxide, aloe, and vitamin E worked!!
I used high strength zinc oxide, hydrogen peroxide, neosporin, and hyrdocortizone cream. None worked as well as the diaper rash cream. I would put a ton on, the cover with a high strength band aid and after about 4 days or so, it healed up fast. I am a type 1 diabetic and have a really hard time healing some wounds, but I just wish I would of known about that rash cream before. Good luck

So, I had this issue for 3 months. I actually fixed it a couple weeks ago, but was too busy making up all the f*****g I missed during this terrible injury to post here. I promised myself if I ever healed, I would come back here because you all gave me a lot of emotional support during this time and also gave me a lot of hope and new remedies to try.

First, make sure it isn't a yeast infection or STD.

Second, take a deep breath, a walk, find Jesus. Stress will only make healing take longer. Checking and poking at it 100x a day is also going to get in the way of the healing process. You will get through this. It does suck, I missed over a dozen sexual opportunities since this happened during the summer, I know it f*****g blows.

Third, find what works. I tried coconut oil, cator oil, olive oil, lotion, diaper rash cream, antibiotic cream, cortisol, aloe plants, banana peels and a whole bunch of other sh*t (including abstaining from sex and masturbation during these treatments). A lot of these remedies didn't help at all. The diaper rash cream helped, but when I would get hard, it would break again. I realized I needed to have moist healing, not dry healing for an area that can expand rapidly. What worked for me was O KEEFE'S WORKING HANDS CREAM and aloe vera lotion. I also used a fungicare wash (originally for athlete's foot) while I would shower which seemed to help with redness. The Working Hands Cream was the true game changer though, basically healed within the week and was f*****g and masturbating during. The working hands cream basically just moisturizes the f**k out of your penis while giving it a protective barrier (Diaper rash cream also gave the wound a protective barrier, but dry healing doesn't work for obvious reasons).

Don't give up homies!
