I received my forst Gardail shot today. My period ALWAYS comes on the 8th. About 10 minutes after the shot I was really light headed/dizzy. I started feeling a sensation in my lower stomach/uterus area and it felt like my period was about the come. Sure enough a few minutes later I started bleeding, headache, cramps; the menstral combo. So I don't know. My period was early unlike most of you, but it NEVER goes off cycle.

I will have to agree. These posts made me feel a whole lot better. Statring with the very first one. Not having periods for months and a sore throat. I am feeling exactly like that. I took my second shot at the end of September. Recently I have been feeling like I am starting to catch a cold. It feels like I have something in my throat along with slight nasuea. As for the menstrual cycle. I was suppose to start the same week as the shot, but it now has been a month late. I too was scared on whether or not I was pregnant, both urine and blood came back negative. I'm just waiting for all this to be over. I thought I'd never say this, but I wish I had my period. It gives me a sense of knowing my body is okay.

I was on the depo shot for a year and then started taking birth control pills. My period was regular throughout the entire time. I got the Gardasil shot in May and have not had a period since my last one which was 04/15/08. I'm still on the pill and not pregnant. ( Trust I've taken hundreds of urine and blood pregnancy test.) It's good to know that there are a hundreds of women experiencing the same symptoms that I am. But it is still scary, I haven't had in 6 months. I didn't want the shot, but my Dr. kept telling me how much I needed it to protect myself from HPV. Turns out it doesn't even stop you from getting it according to studies. You can still get HPV after getting the Gardasil Vaccine.

My advice, don't get the Gardasil Vaccine. We'll all have a third arm by the year 2035. Lol. Just kidding. But, if I could rewind time, I would have never gotten it.

hi i had my HPV vaccination on the 18/11/08 which was my first one. I had the usual side effects of a sore arm afterwards, and began to get my usual pre-period syptoms. My last period was on the 25/10/08 and i usually come on 30 days after this. I'm only 2 days late but i was starting to worry, although i'm not actually having sexual intercourse. My nurse didnt mention that late periods would be a side effect. As well as this I have been ill and have some kind of throat infection, experiencing feverish symptoms. I'm so glad i found this site!!

Hi, i am SOO SOO glad i found this forum!! I had my 1st gardasil shot a little over 2 weeks ago on a friday. I was supposed to get my period that coming monday. it never came and i am still late. so i took a pregnancy test a day ago and it was negative. i'm not on birth control anymore and was nervous that maybe there was a leak in the condom or something like that. my doctor said that the shot and missing your period isn't linked but i definitely think she is wrong after reading all of these (helpful!) responses and what is happening with me. i'm bloated and my breasts are pretty sore like i am expecting my period but its just not coming. but THANK YOU everyone who shared their story here, it really helped me not to freak out and be super stressed about it. i'll keep you all posted on when i get it or not. good luck to everyone with this.

I'M DEFINITELY NOT GETTING THE REST OF THE GARDASIL SHOTS!
The first shot made my period 12 days late! I'm VERY regular, i'm not on birth control so of course i was freaking out the whole 12 days. i even took a pregnancy test, it came up negative but i still thought there cud be a chance that i was pregnant. i had no symptoms of pregnancy except pms. i was cranky and had cramps. the cramps came and went away. every single time i went to the bathroom i was sure i got my period but..nothing. This morning i finally got it and i knew i had to post something here becus all the other girl's posts made me feel better when i was freaking out.

i'm not positive if garadsil was the reason for my period being late, it cud've been stress but stress usually doesn't interfere with my period so i'm gonna blame it on the hpv vaccine lol

Good luck to all you other girls freaking out!
U'll get ur period soon (:

I had the gardasil shots quite some time ago. Like April I think, but my period is 4 months late. I am sexually active, but I don't have any other pregnancy symptoms and I've taken 3 pregnancy tests and they all come back negative. As far as I know nothing else has changed in my diet or lifestyle that would delay my period, especially not for 4 months...

ok. You are not alone. Im 23 and have had near normal periods all my life, never more than a couple days late. I've never been on bc. My periods were about two weeks late after the first two shots- didnt think anything of it. I got my third shot about two months ago, and haven't had my period since. I went to the doctor and got blood hormone tests. My pregnancy test is neg, my thyroid hormones normal, still waiting for the results of the FSH, LH. This is a side effect that no one is payimg attention to but what if the vaccine is making girls infertile? I'm very worried because this is not normal. If gardasil has effected your period PLEASE POST.

I finally decided to look something up to see if my irregular period could be caused by the gardasil shot and glad to see other people having problems. I got the shot at the beginning of November and had my period on the 28th. I was then supposed to have another period around Christmas. After 9 days and a negative pregnancy test I finally started bleeding extremely heavy and have been heavy for 4 days now (which normally I am done with my period in 3 days). The part that scares me is that a couple years ago I had a miscarriage after having a negative pregnancy test.

Did not think that any of this had to do with the gardasil shot at first but now that I am seeing so many other women with the same problem it makes me wonder…not sure I understand how this even got on the market with so many problems.

I HAD MY FIRST GARDASIL SHOT IN MARCH, CAUSING MIGRAINES, MY SECOND WAS IN JUNE, NO SIDE EFFECTS, AND MY THIRD IN MID NOVEMBER. THE LAST SHOT GAVE ME MANY SIDE EFFECTS INCLUDING SWOLLEN AND REDNESS AT THE INJECTION SITE, MY ENTIRE ARM WAS VERY SORE FOR TWO WEEKS AND I WAS STILL HAVE TERRIBLE HEADACHES. MY LAST PERIOD WAS ON NOVEMBER 2ND, AND IT'S NOW JANUARY 14TH AND I HAVE YET TO HAVE MY PERIOD. I AM SEXUALLY ACTIVE AND AM NOT CURRENTLY TAKING BIRTH CONTROL. I'VE TAKEN ONE PREGNANCY TEST WHICH WAS NEGATIVE AND I PLAN ON TAKING ANOTHER ONE TOMORROW WHEN MY BOYFRIEND CAN BE WITH ME. I HAVE BEEN VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE VACCINE DUE TO ALL THE SIDE EFFECTS AND OF COURSE MISSING MY PERIOD. I'M TO THE POINT WHERE I AM ABSOLUTELY FREAKING OUT. IT'S A RELIEF TO SEE OTHERS GOING THROUGH THIS AS WELL, I JUST WISH I KNEW FOR SURE THAT THIS WAS THE PROBLEM. I PLAN ON GOING TO THE DR. FOR A BLOOD PREGNANCY TEST NEXT WEEK IF I STILL HAVEN'T STARTED. I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST AND I REALLY HOPE WE'RE ALL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.

IF YOU'RE READING THIS AND YOU HAVE NOT HAD THE GARDASIL SHOT, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT. IT'S BEEN BAD NEWS FOR ME.

I had my second shot and I haven't had my period in three months. I am on birth control pills and have had two negative pregnancy tests. I have asked two doctors and one of them said that Gardasil can affect your period for up to six months and the other doctor said Gardasil should affect your period at all. I was a little freaked out until I read these posts.
