Gardarsil shot, Late period, Negative Pregnancy test?

Thank god I found these postings...I got my first HPV shot last month on the DAY I started my period...here it is a month and 3 days later and no period...I was really worried about it because my period is usually on time, with a difference of one day...8/14, 9/15, 10/16-didnt happen...Now I am seeing that it can be up to 2 weeks late from other people's posts...they should seriously add this to all pamphlets and inform the nurses as well because this can really be an issue. I am scheduled for a colposcopy Thursday and now I'm just crossing my fingers that my period doesn't decide to start THAT day and cause me to reschedule the procedure.

I am currently having the similar issues with the gardasil shot. It is currenlty 1 November. I received the 1st shot in June. My second dose was in July. Over the summer i still had periods on time but they definitely were not full blown like usual. I always have awful cramps and my period lasts for about 8 days usually. My periods after the shot started to last only 4 days and this month I am late. I still havent received my period and I never got any spotting whatsoever but i received all my typical cramps. Im terribly scared i am pregnant. I do not know what to think. I had sex one time and my boyfriend used protection and he swears the condom didnt break. We are typically abstinent and trying a whole godly going to church thing and now we are completely on the fritz thinking the worst. I dont know what to do. These posts are the first thread of good news ive seen in days. I dont know what to think anymore. I never went back for the third shot. I cant imagine how bad it is that it causes a period to completely drop off.

Glad to have found this thread. Had my second Gardasil shot this month, plus a flu shot, and my period is a week and a half late and is showing no signs of arriving anytime soon (no reason to be pregnant). Good to know it is a common reaction to the shots.

So glad I found this. I got the gardsail shot along with the tech shot on the 15th. My period is due around this time and I still haven't started. I'm not sexually active, so I know pregnancy is not an issue.

I got my 1st Gardasil shot on Dec 28. Im suppose to start my period on Jan 16. Im about 1 week late on my period which is not normal. I took 2 pregnancy test and both were negative. So im just waiting for my doc appointment to see whats going on. Now im regreding the shot and don't know if im going for the 2nd. Its very frustrating.

I'm so glad I found this! My boyfriend and I have been freaking out! I got my first shot on Feb. 16 and my period was supposed to start on Feb. 20.... It never came. It is now March 2 and nothing still. However, we've taken 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative. I'm relieved mostly because we took the 2 tests, but also for finding all these other women who have had the same problem. Thank you all so much for sharing!

This is crazy! So glad I'm not the only one! I got the first dose In the middle of January (a couple days after the end of my period). couple of days later my breasts felt very sore as if i were about to start my period. They continued to hurt everyday until I finally got my period. It came when it was supposed to in February. Well now my period has been a week late and I have been completely freaking out because I am also having cramps and when I sit down my uterus feelsswollen. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. So now I'm a bit more relaxed but this is annoying! My period has always been regular. I'm not sure I want to get the next shot.

I also havent had sex and I missed my period for months now. I took the shot and I now realized that since then my period hasnt come. Its been 4 months now and I'm not pregnant.

You have no idea how happy I am now that I've found this thread. I got my HPV shot about a month or two ago right after I finished my last cycle. I have a very long one (about 43 days) and I've been expecting my period for a week or so. I've been getting all the symptoms (i.e cramps, fatigue etc) but no period. I'm sexually active but always very carefully with the same person and protection. I've been pretty worried

Thank God! Me and my girlfriend were tripping about her being about 2 weeks late now. Pregnancy test after pregnancy test came up negative, but still we continued to by more as the days went by thinking maybe the hormones aren't being picked up yet. She's only gotten the first shot and is scheduled for the second one soon. Any one how long she can expect not to have it?

So i got the shot a wile ago! and I'm late:( i have been sexually active but i was protected! and I'm freaking out! i haven't taken a pregnancy test yet! i have no way of getting one! IM FREAKING OUT!!

i was sexually active a month ago and it was right after my period and i haven't gotten it yet! i don't have any symptoms! I'm really nervous! and stressing out isn't going to help either because can't that also delay your period!

I NEED HELP!!!

im 3 weeks late, never have been late... im 18 and got my 1st shot 5/1/12. i WAS freaking out so i have taken 3 pregnancy test all negative!! after reading all these posts ive felt a little better because i had no idea what was wrong with me. i will NOT go back for any of the other shots and i was wondering if any of you ladies ever ended up getting your regular menstral cycle back on track?????? kind of a disapointment cause i wanted a little one :(

I have been a complete mess, thinking something is wrong with me. I'm seriously so happy I found this. I got my first shot about two days before my period's due date. I was a day late, but it's just spotting and a lot lighter than it usually is on my first cycle day. I went through all my nnormal mood swings and body changes and on top of the shot, I am stressed about starting college.
My boyfriend and I are very thankful for every sharing their story.

Hell all,

now m feeling a bit relaxed, after reading all of urs experiences.

i had the 3rd and last shot of Gardasil in the month of Apr'12, till that the frequency of my periods were normal, but the type has changed,

i started to have periods for almost 10 days, begining with spotting for first 4-5 days,

and it all started when i took the first shot of Gardasil.

now i am overdue for my period in the month of Aug'12, alomost by 3 weeks.

took a pregancy test, which came negative, hence had a Sonography, which also showed negative result

but i could have seen a white patch inside my uterous, for which my doc also got worried.

but he told me that it could be calcium depository, which i dont believe, coz am not intaking any calcium supplimentary except having milk infrequently.

now on medicines and wating my periods to come.

all our Govt and docs should make aware the ladies about these side effects before taking the gardasil shot

now wating is only in my hand
