hi, i am getting my tonsils out next week, someone told me you dont get put to sleep, is this true? im sick right now so i hope im better by monday, my tonsils are infected

Having issues with tonsils can be very problematic. You have constant pain in your throat and everything you eat can have a different taste. All the pain presented there only makes things worse. Now you have to know that having this procedure doesn’t necessarily means that you will have complete anesthesia. This procedure can be done with local anesthesia as well. You can talk to your doctor about this if you don’t want to be put a sleep all the way through the procedure. How long have your tonsils been infected? Have you been using any other treatment for this issue? I know that some try to clear out the infection with antibiotics as well. I hope you will get better.
