then resume your regular activity. siesta, rest, etc. its the bodies natural response after a meal. if you eat c**p, you'll feel like c**p. if you eat good food and get a little tired, give it a minute and let your body do its work. you'll find that you have a tremendous amount of energy as your body begins to absorb the nutrients from the foOD IT JUST DIGESTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the guy who says we're weak and lazy is an as****e jacked up on his 3rd dose of caffiene right after lunch! i'm 36, don't even workout and have a perfect physic am never tired and i don't even touch caffeine. i listen to my body and good common sense! food combination is key. if you want to know more about that, send me an email to and i'll tell you about food order and it just might change your life.

No, there is anything wrong with you, this is totally normal that you feel sleepy after eating. This happens to everyone, have you talked about it with someone else? If you ask someone, they will tell you they also feel like sleeping after their meals. This happens because when you eat all the blood float right to your stomach in order to digest the food you have eaten, thus you have no will and mood for anything else, you just feel lazy and doing nothing. This is why it is healthy to have a rest after heavy meals so that your stomach can do its job properly. You just don’t worry about your sleepiness, it lasts only until you have digested the food you have eaten.

But right now my vision is really blurry and I am having a really difficult time typing - which is very unusual for me. Thank God for spell check. But it is taking me forever to type this and usually I type at better than 70 wmp.
And I feel like I am thinking through a paper bag. Heck I couldn't even figure out how to work my microwave.
The other morning when I woke up and my glucose level was down to 65. Which is pretty low from my understanding. I did take it today, after I was able to find my glucose meter which turned out to be right in front of me, but my level is 110. So that is probably not the problem.
Sometimes this happens when it is cloudy, but that is not the case this morning. And I have read the if you are dehydrated this could cause sleepiness. So I am drinking liquids
My best guess is that I had too many carbs throughout the day yesterday. So I am going to eat a high protein breakfast and see if that helps.
And taking a nap when I was like this only makes it worse - at least from my experience.
All I really know right now is that I just plain cannot function right now.
So, does anyone have any suggestion?

Have you considered that this could be something connected with your blood pressure? My friend had once similar problem, when he had high blood pressure.

When eat a meal without carbohydrates, I don't get sleepy.
From my current understanding, this is because I have yeast overgrowth. When glucose hits the bloodstream the yeast go to work.
Yeast + Sugar = alchol + carbondioxide + (other toxins) = sleepy
It's that simple.

Could be many things but MSG content is in so many foods (even those healthy little yogurt cups)!
