Has anyone had good results with either medication to shrink hemangiomas or surgery? I have two and have been in a lot of pain the last five months.

I have been researching the hemangioma liver surgery and it seems that there are no medications to help shrink the hemangioma.  Surgeons can surgically remove it or cut the blood supply to the hemangioma so it shrinks.  You can also have radiation treatments but this is rarely used.  You should talk to your surgeon about the options available to see which one is right for you.  If the hemangiomas are causing you much pain, this should be done as soon as possible.

Has anyone reading this forum have surgery to remove a hemangioma of the liver?  Which procedure or surgery did the medical staff use?

hello, I have a hemangioma on the center of my liver which they cannot remove. I had a biopsy which determined it was not cancer. They proceeded in doing an ablation entering through the groin to liver. That seem to help control the growth. I have had this procedure done 2x.
