Yes it can be life threatening.
Sometimes, for whatever reasons, the uterus is not cleaned of all tissue from pregnancy. This tissue then dies and becomes infected. It's more common in a chemical abortion, taking pills, than having a d&c where they evacuate the uterus.

what would cause large amount of tight hard knots in the back and shouulders you can push on them and work the knots down like their breraking up but back next day reason for all questiuons no insurence and want to narrow it all down before t omarrow wioukd thius aso be caused from stress

i dont think so sense we have been seeing each other she gets the large knots all through her bacvk and neck arm pits u can push on them real hard and feels like they break and slide away but will be back next day i never seen anything like it but she is going to dr in the morning for the other thanks for uew help its helped a lot

I'm not so sure they're knots, like from muscles. A common place to find swollen lymph nodes is the arm pit and back of the neck. Swollen lymph nodes indicate an infection.
