I am on day 14 after laser ligasure (haemorrhoidectomy), one external removed and two internals lasered in place.
My biggest problem now is that it takes me about 6 vists to the toilet to pass stools completely. The urge starts immediately when i wake up and within 10-15 mins of the first BM the pressure for the next one starts building up. Then at about hourly intervals I have to strain severely to pass stools and pass small amounts at every call.
I am spending 4-6 hours in this way either holding it or straining to pass it everyday and there is no improvement in the last week. Doctor has done a rectal examination and ruled out fecal impaction. He says it is a false urge due to the surgery but it does not help me.
I am having a high fibre diet, 3 ltrs of water daily and a stool softener at night - NORMACOL.
Can anybosy help me in going back to my normal BM schedule of once in the morning before surgery??
Thanks,

Hi there, i Know that it gneerally akes anywhere from 4-6 weeks before you can recover from hemorrhoid surgery so that's something to be aware of. You wil need to wait at least that long before your BMs start to become normal. Does that help at all?
