Hi, i'm 16 and about 6 months ago had my hand go through glass, i lost all my arteries, tendans and nerves so had to have an 11 and a half hour emergancy operation. The operation went well everythig was stitched together and fixed to a point. Onviously because the tendans were sevoured i've had to go through months of physio therapy to try to regain strength and mobility of my three middle fingers on my right hand.Trouble is the scar tissue has built up so mich its preventing my tendans from stretching and is enabling my fingers to bend and stretch out fully. This has caused my joints in my fingers to start to get stuck in the same position and arent moving at all. I've been massaging and i also wear a splint every night, but its not helping anymore. I was wondering if there is anything else to stop my joints from getting stuck and also getting full use of my fingers again without having to have another operation? :/ PLEASE HELP SO DESPERATE!!!

Hi, sorry to hear you are experiencing such problems. It could be quite tricky to regain full functionality of your hand after surgery that complicated. From my point of view it might be the best to do another surgery. I mean, yes it is hard to recover and go to physical therapies but it might be necessary. The more you wait the more it will grow and it can make it harder to operate. You should consider doing another surgery as soon as possible. You dont want this to become a problem later in life. Better to fix it now than have problems later. On the other hand, talk to your parents or your doctor. What do they think its the best way?
