i was so scared i was the only one. I'm 20 years old and I got my first one maybe 2 years ago? Same hard bump under the skin dime size that hurt when I tried to pop it. After some time it went away. I had gotten another one about the size of a dime after that and thought I had herpes or something but I've never had any negative test results in the past and have been with the same person for 3 years. So I left it and then after some time i was in the shower and it had shrunk and i guess whatever puss was it in was ready cause when I went to look at it I popped it by mistake lol. But now that I've read these I feel a lot better knowing that this happens. & It's funny I always tried to convince myself it was ingrown hairs but to be that big!? damn.

You can also get bumps in the genital area that are harmless. These include cysts, angiomas, and mollusca.
Cysts are yellowish round lumps under the skin, which feel like a small ball or pebble that can easily be moved around. These may enlarge slightly, but in general stay about the same and do not cause any problems. They are caused usually by blocked hair follicles. No treatment is needed.

If you have a groin lump that disappears when you lie down, it could be a saphena varix. This occurs when the valve of the saphenous vein fails to open correctly to let blood flow through, causing the blood to collect inside the vein. Saphena varix causes golf-ball sized lumps that have a blue tinge. You’re more likely to develop this condition if you have varicose veins, which are enlarged veins that usually occur in the legs or feet. Saphena varix is an extremely rare condition.
