Large stones can scratch the walls of the seminal ducts and urethra. This can cause pain in the perineum and penis, as well as bleeding. Stones can be quite large, around 4-5mm, and may not always come out. But as they are quite fragile they break, and come out in a smaller fraction.

Yes that is correct. These aren't actually stones though, its some type of sediment that does not have the same composition as calculi (tested by lab).

Since I have not gotten surgery yet to remove the midline prostatic cyst and potentially stop these orange particles from reforming and reblocking my ducts constantly: Instead I have discovered a fairly reliable way to get the orange particles out of the vesicles/prostate if they are blocking your ducts or causing irritation or discomfort. You have to milk your prostate with VERY high pressure through the rectum, starting as far back as possible and then moving forward. You have to use a lot of lubricant (coconut oil + saliva after eating garlic to make ur glands produce more saliva) works best. You will still tear some of your rectal lining due to the amount of pressure you need to use to unblock your ducts. This could cause a small anal fissure, so be careful. You'll like see a little blood and rectal lining on your thumb if you used enough pressure, even with lube. You won't feel pain but a burning sensation as the orange particles and semen are squeezed out of your ducts and vesicles/prostate.

Sometimes the blockage is further back than your thumb can reach. This started happening to me and I couldn't unblock my ducts for weeks sometimes. The constant inflammation/irritation and blocked duct was very annoying. My ejaculations were lower volume because at least one vesicle was being blocked by the orange particles clogging the duct further back than my thumb can reach. The solution to this is to buy a wooden drumstick that is rounded and the same thickness as your thumb. With this tool, you can reach the EXACT position of the blockage and squeeze the orange particles out of your ducts. Remeber to use a lot of lube and that it SHOULD NOT HURT but it should BURN as you apply very high pressure with the drumstick to squeeze the blockage out.

Afterwards if you did it right you will see the orange particles come out in your pee or next ejaculation so pay attention. And then you will feel a ton of relief and the vesicle/prostate inflammation will be gone until it reblocks again from new sediment. Good luck!

I think the problem, for me at least, is also excess vitamin intake. I have not noticed this happening for quite some time, but when I did, it was after several months of consuming 4-6 energy shots per week (Kirkland brand), which is loaded with B9 and B12.

It has not happened in a long time, but I have also stopped drinking these energy shots. I can't say for sure that they are related, but it seems likely.

Yep it was the same for me. Vitamin b12 and D3 were my main contributors when I was at my worst for them I was taking a sport supplement which was very high in both and normally within 2 weeks of taking it I'd start to get the stones.

It seems to me that you are drawing the wrong conclusions, linking the problem with taking vitamins, supplements, drinks, and so on. For example, I did not take anything, but I have a lot of stones.

How did you know this? Do you pass these orange crystals and do you have any idea what they are, how they are caused, or how to get rid of them?

I've been following this thread since I "joined the club" myself. I have not yet landed in any resolution, but I thought I'd share my story so far to keep this thread going:

For me this started 5 months ago and it was about the same time as when I'd just had a ruptured disc in my back and I was also recovering from a milder colon inflammation (diverticulitis). Also at this time, I had just decided to switch to a strict vegetarian diet, going from eating quite a lot of meat on a weekly basis to not any of it at all (including fish).

The colon inflammation ended up with me having to do x-ray, blood tests and a colonoscopy, and it all looked fine. Kidney and liver values looked good, and no signs of kidney stones. I mentioned having recent painful ejaculations to that doctor and he told me I should go see a urologist. By this time I hadn't really discovered any crystals.

I went to the urologist and gave a urine sample to check for proteins and he did ultrasound of the prostate and he basically said all looked OK and that I had nothing to worry about. During the two weeks after, I started seeing these orange/amber colored crystals. As people write here, most of them do come out afterwards in the urine. It's not really as much crystals as it's rather almost like a harder gel that you can quite easily rub into "sand" between your fingers. I went back to the urologist and explained this, and he did another ultrasound and took another urine sample. He showed me that I have quite a lot of prostate stones which he said is very normal, and he figured it's likely something related to those, but he said it's nothing harmful.

3 more weeks passed and I didn't think that much about it, but then came quite a big one of these (which hurt like hell). So I picked up the piece, put it in a jar, and brought it to the same clinic but this time I got another urologist. He looked at it briefly and said that it does look similar to the prostate stones they see, but since it's nothing harmful "I should just ignore this and live my life". Since I felt I'd reached the end of the road with three visits to the urologist, I had to try other things.

So this is where I started doing some changes:
* I drank at least a gallon of water daily
* I drank a glass of water where I'd squeezed half a lemon, 3-4 days a week
* I stopped eating candy, snacks (including popcorn) etc, but rather had strawberries as snacks since I heard these are good for PH levels etc
* I ate my normal vegetarian diet, but I tried to keep an decent balance of carbs vs protein etc
* I drank alcohol "like normal", which for me is 3-4 times a month having a few (or many) beers with a friend or so
* I reduced the amount of coffee during the day (not sure if this mattered though)
* I started exercising again. Mostly cardio and crosstrainer. I also did a lot of pelvis/back rehab training for my ruptured disc (which is all well now)
* As a side-note, I'd also just been at the urologist that had told me multiple times that I had nothing to worry about (see below about tension)

And what do you know... these things actually went away for 6 weeks and everything looked like normal.

Then came 2-3 intense weeks for me with quite a lot of stress and a lot of sitting down. I stopped exercising for a month and I stopped eating the squeezed lemons and I also did a few very long (6-7 hour long) car trips and went back to eating a little bit of candy and snacks, and then the orange crystals came back. This time more crystals than ever before...

So I have some pieces of information I'm playing around with:
* 5-6 months ago I started drinking less water, since I have a very active bladder at night (since the past 10 years or so). This left me with quite dark urine in the mornings and sometimes I forgot to drink enough water on the days.
* During my transition to vegetarian diet, I took multi-vitamin pills. I stopped these 4 months ago after reading this thread.
* Before this all started, there have been 1-2 years of working from home, which meant a lot of sitting down and lack of exercise and activity in general (this also caused my ruptured disc)
* I have quite a stressful environment, and I believe my body has been very tense from worrying about this problem, the colon inflammation and the ruptured disc. I have noticed that I'm recently very tense around my pelvis/buttocks and I really need to focus to relax
* This escalated the first time when the doctor was "poking around" the prostate. No clue if that's related, but the thought struck me
* At the start of the year I had a period of quite a lot of candy and snacks
* When switching to vegetarian diet, I realise it's a lot of protein in the food I eat. Lots of cheeses, beans, peas etc.

I write here cause I'm a bit frustrated now that this is back, even though I've done a lot of improvements in my lifestyle and I feel pretty good other than this. But my action plan now is:
* I've been offered to do a PSA test. I will do this if/when things calm down a bit
* I've reached out to another urologist for a second opinion
* I will go back to drinking squeezed lemons 3-4 times a week
* I will stop any alcohol now for 1-2 months to really clean my system and rule that out
* I will keep exercising 2-3 times a week
* I will try to measure the amount of protein I eat, to really ensure I don't go overboard
* I will skip candy/snacks etc
* I will try to find ways to relax my pelvis and avoid this tension, including the one coming from worry/emotion.
* I will avoid long car trips and too much sitting down.

At this stage, I simply want to know if this is due to diet or tension (chronic prostatitis?), or if it's due to blockage as some have mentioned in this thread. The blockage part I hope a urologist can help me rule out, but until then I can only try to improve on the parts written above here.

As some final words for those worrying: From what I've been able to find out and from what I've been told this is not related to anything harmful. It's just something I believe is quite rare and not well documented.

I'd appreciate if those that find any resolution share this, and I will do the same. Take care everyone!

These particles are still a mystery. Nobody really knows the underlying cause of them. What we do know is that sometimes they are reduced and sometimes more frequent. It’s also possible that they aren’t actually reduced, but are simply not coming out when they seem reduced, and are instead just trapped. Then later on when they break free you get even worse episodes because many of them had built up.

How many people here who have experienced these orange crystals in semen have any history of regularly edging and withholding ejaculation at any point in their lives?

One method to release these orange crystals (if you haven’t see any in semen for a long time but have the symptoms of irritation and blockage) is to do the following:

Intermittently abstain (5-15 days) to build up ejaculate volume. Then masturbate or edge for quite a while focusing on pleasure so that when you ejaculate your seminal vesicles will fully contract. Then when you finally ejaculate, after the first or second spurt do a reverse kegel (as if you are peeing) of moderate intensity (not too strong or too weak) and hold it while you continue to ejaculate. This reverse kegel while ejaculatory seems to open up a duct and will then allow the crystals to be expelled with your semen. Make sure to do the reverse kegel after the ejaculation has already started and not before.

A reverse kegel is the opposite of a kegel. It’s how you would unclench the anus or pee as opposed to a kegel which is what would stop your pee.

Forgot to mention: these orange particles/crystals in semen are not stones according to a lab. I had them tested in a lab and it came back as organic matter but not matching any type of stones. One theory I have is that the orange particles are possibly related to urine which gets trapped in the ejaculatory ducts. This might happen due to anatomy or a prostatic cyst. I have a confirmed by MRI small prostatic midline cyst. I wonder if I get the operation to deroof the cyst (with transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy surgery) if the orange particles would go away and my symptoms (occasional Ed, occasional semen blockage from orange particles, irritation from orange particle, and orange particles in semen once they release) will finally end permanently?

I found this thread and what a scary read.
32 YO Male
This has happened 3 times in my life. In 2020 through COVID and two bouts over the last 8 weeks.
I do have a history of edging and long masturbation sessions. I found that both of these releases of orange particles occurred after I edged and then later released.

In 2020 I was able to get them to stop for over two years after about 8 sessions of pelvic floor therapy and exercising every day (getting out of the habit of sitting in my computer chair all day).

I’m going for tests this week. Purchased a standing desk and trying to flush these fuckers out,

Stressful though since I can’t have sex due to the pain and really scared this will ruin my relationship,

Was anybody else here on cialis or a substitute?

I have taken cialis several times. Not regularly. I took a large dose a few times when I was in my twenties, and it gave me a terrible headache. then much smaller doses in my 30s. I probably took 5 times a year on average. Now I’m in my 40s and if I take it it’s usually a few times a year and super low dose, like 2.5 or 5mg.
