Standard cultures that your doctor does will not find the bacteria because they won’t grow in cultures and are embedded in biofilms: you have to order a next generation DNA sequence analysis of your semen, and make sure the orange particles are in the semen sample

Microgen DX is a company that does this type of advanced test. Make sure there are orange solids in the semen sample you give for analysis

Here are my best guesses as to what these orange particles are:

-bacterial biofilms
-body response to bacterial biofilms
-some type of blood cell
-uric acid deposits

When I first had these orange particles they were much harder. After taking antibiotics and trying to flush them out over the course of several years (and eating a lot of raw garlic and cutting out bacon due to purines) - these orange particles are now soft and gel like and slightly lower in quantity

They are coming from the seminal vesicle, not the prostate

It appears to be seminal vesiculitis

Just in case anyone is still checking the thread, I have some experience with this.

I had these same crystals (the color and translucence of amber (the kind that prehistoric mosquitoes are found in) and have photos; however, i can't figure out any way to post them. They were not STDs or any of the other horrific things I've seen listed.

They came from Coca Cola - specifically their caramel coloring crystallizing.

Naturally take this with a grain of crystallized caramel, but that's what it was, in my case. Easily resolvable.

How would Coca Cola end up in your semen? That doesn’t make sense.

These are likely bacterial biofilms from a low grade infection of the seminal vesicle. If they went away then either your ejaculatory duct got blocked (you will have some pain in your perineum and post ejaculation if this is the case) or your body somehow got rid of the bacteria.

I have had this for six years now. It was way worse several years ago, but now it’s more mild but still there. The orange particles used to be more like crystals for me, and now they are more like jelly. More than half the time I don’t have any orange particles in my semen but that’s because my left seminal vesicle doesn’t always release properly so don’t be fooled and thinking they are gone when your ducts are just blocked

I got these orange crystals in my semen some months ago. The size and amount of crystals coming out varied a lot. At one point it seemed like it was more solids than liquids, and big ones sized up to half a grain of rice.
Took a urine sample, blood tests, ultrasound and a prostate exam. Nothing came up. My urologist had never seen anything like it before, and suggested it was coagulated sperm/semen coming from my seminal vesicle(s). She suggested that it would go away on its own, and it would go away faster if I ejaculated often.
Currently, after two months, it seems like it's gone "for now". But this is really odd. Can't find info on this condition anywhere.

And no, It's definitely not Coke, as another one suggested. Ha ha (I don't even drink Coke).

Order the prostate sti test. It’s a semen sample dna test. I have taken it four times so far and it has found Staph epidermidis every time, and also corynebacterium. I’m gonna take it a fifth time now

These bacteria are also found on your skin, so it’s very confusing for yourself and doctors. But apparently if these bacteria get inside your seminal vesicle they can start forming biofilms and become a long term infection

Please let me know what your microgen test shows. If you also get a positive result for staph epidermidis or corynebacterium then it would further confirm that these orange particles are caused by infection from these specific pathogens

Let me know thanks

Thank you for your thoughts and advice. Appreciate it!
The crystals reappeared again, as I thought they would. I'm thinking of requesting a semen test from a urologist asap. Can't afford the microgendx test right now unfortunately. But I will update if I figure something out.

Do you also have other symptoms such as a feeling of inflammation or pain in the perineum near where your seminal vesicles would be located? (I do)

Any other symptoms?

After my first episode I had a burning feeling in my urethra, especially at the tip of the glans and a "heavy" feeling in my rectum/perineum. I believe a lot of those pains came from passing the sharp crystals. Those pains lasted maybe a day or two, but returned if I had another episode with large crystals. Aside from that I've had no persistent symptoms like discomfort or pain.

A couple of times I've experienced some mild stabbing pain coming from around the rectum/perineum area, only lasting half a second or so. I don't know if those are caused by the crystals or some inflammation.

During masturbation I can often get a dull sensation, like a pressure, and sometimes dull stabbing pains coming from my rectum/perineum, those sensations usually(but not always) means I'm going to have a episode of crystals or yellow semen.

During ejaculation of crystals I can often feel the movement of some crystals dislodging from the prostate/vesicle and traveling trough my urethra, especially if they're big.

This is exactly what I have had for 6 years

I also get really bad prostatitis and seminal vesiculitis (inflammatory pain that is very disturbing)

After 6 years and a few courses of antibiotics, raw garlic + cranberries and massage, probiotics, edta suppositories, anti biofilm interfase supplements, lots of massages, and lots of repeated ejaculations (sometimes 17 times in a day to try to clear out the clogged particles) - I still have the problem

One thing that has changed though is that the orange particles are now softer, they are not hard anymore. I think they harden if they are stuck in the vesicle for a very long period of time. These partcles often block the ejaculatory duct and prevent some of your semen from leaving the seminal vesicle - at least they do that to me. Then a huge clump of the orange blockage may release, along with the seminal vesicle fluid. This is called ejaculatory duct obstruction.

Im still not exactly sure what these particles are, but I think it has something to do with a biofilm bacteria that embeds in the seminal vesicle. I think these orange particles are a biofilm or the body trying to remove biofilm bacteria through calcification. I think these orange particles eventually harden and turn into stones which can cause bloody semen.

Right now Im trying to see if long term abstinence has any curative effect. So far, 1 week does nothing, 2 weeks does nothing. trying for a month of no ejaculations. My guess is the particles will just build up and block my ducts, but nothing seems to solve this problem so im trying everything.

Had these 12 years ago, lasted a few days then cleared up. Thought it was just a one off. Until this year. Had another bout of them which lasted 4 weeks in March/April this year. They again cleared up, it sounds gross, but I was masturbating 2 times a day to try and keep my tubes clear, and prevent any big crystals building up. Was also drinking plenty of water and cutting back on fizzy drinks. Was clear for about 3 weeks but have just had another episode starting 2 days ago. So annoying. I have been dehydrated the last few days tho, and back to drinking lots of fizzy drinks, especially coke. Will up my water intake again and keep you posted.

That sounds terrible, I really hope you find a solution.
Is there always a presence of particles in your semen?

From my experience there was a yellow color of the seminal liquid and an abundance of crystals in the first weeks. Those really hurt. After a couple of weeks they seemed to reduced in size and quantity. After a long time, 1-2 months there was normally between 1-3 really tiny crystals in every ejaculation, occasionally a big one. Often felt a pain in my perineum and a pressure during masturbation. Sometimes a needle like stabbing feeling from my prostate/seminal vesicle area would occur randomly.

After about 2 months of this issue, I've now been symptom free for a couple of weeks. I've had no discoloration or abnormalities in semen and no discomfort, pressure or pain.

Anyway, I don't think this has any correlation to me being symptom free, but I'll post my actions regardless. I replaced a lot of fatty meats with more lean meats and added a lot more vegetables to meals. Started taking omega-3 fatty acids, increasing my intake of water and started exercising a bit.

If I abstain for a long time the particles disappear but they are not actually gone, they are simply clogging one of my ejaculatory ducts. After multiple ejaculations to relieve the mild pain and inflammation, eventually the ducts start unclogging and the particles return to the semen. These particles seem to be the cause of pain, inflammation, ejaculatory duct obstruction, occasionally weaker erections, occasional blood in semen, and also mental anguish. I still don’t know what these particles are, but after many years of trying to cure them and flush them out, they now tend to be softer and smaller and less abundant. The pain and inflammation varies drastically as well and seems to be in the seminal vesicle or prostate. The biggest trigger for me in worsening my symptoms is withholding ejaculation - meaning masturbating for long periods of time and then not ejaculating that same day. This causes an a chain reaction which leads to bad pain and inflammation. I also think this is what caused the issue to begin with, and these particles might be some kind of inflammatory response towards pathogens that retrograde back into the prostate and vesicles because of withholding ejaculation, and now perhaps those pathogens are embedded in the wall of the seminal vesicle and hiding from the immune system through biofilms

Thank you very much for this answer. Until I presented this possibility to my urologist, I got treatment for several STD's. It was a nightmare.
I was scheduled with holmium laser to get rid of prostate stones because I started feeling pain in prostate. Apart from orange crystals in my semen I haven't had any other visible symptoms.

Has anybody figured out what this is? Seems like these orange particles/sediment could be seminal vesicle stones possibly caused by staphylococcus epidermidis? Any other ideas?
