I am a 14 year old boy and lately I have been having chest pains and sometimes I will get a bit of a tickle on the left Side of my chest. At night when I try to sleep my heart feels like it is about to jump out of my chest. The feeling is so weird it'll happen about every 30 seconds and it feels like im on a rollercoaster going down at 100mph. I have been having some difficulty breathing and im often light headed. And im so afraid my heart is about to fail and I will die. I am so scared. I went to the doc like 3 days ago and told me I had a sinus infection. After the doctor visit he gave me some amoxicillin and the next day I began having these pains. Is it a result of the medicine I am taking? Is it because my body is fighting an infection? Sometimes the weird feeling will happen when I breathe and it like kinda knocks the breath out of me fora second. Does anyone know what this is? Please tell me. The sensation in my heart when I try to sleep is very annoying. Any answers are welcome. Thank you

It could be two things that can be causing your chest pains and other symptoms you are describing. You could be having a reaction of some sort to the amoxicillin. Have you developed a rash at all? Another issue that could be causing your symptoms is that it is anxiety. A panic attack or anxiety attack can feel like a heart attack coming on. It can be very scary. You should mention this problem to the doctor. He may prescribe another antibotic to see if it is the cause of your chest discomfort. Or your doctor may give you an antianxiety med to see if this alleviates your symptoms.

I havent developed any type of rash or anything. And im about to go to bed soon but it causes me so much discomfort. Im not worried about anything but I read that panic/anxiety attacks can happen subliminally. I just went to the doctor like 3 days ago, should I tell him to prescribe me a different antibiotic?
