I am a 27 year old super healthy low cholesterol, low blood pressure (100/65) and I never ever experienced chest pain.

However tonight while sitting at the computer stabbing pain so bad I could not think about anything else. It only lasted for a few seconds but it was hard to breath but it was so short and I was fine I didn't really worry. You know where the under part of your braw site. It was on the bone right between my breasts, on the line right below then and slightly to my right.

Do you think I am having pvc too I really cannot see ever going to the doctor I have a 2 year old with no help.

It has happened 4 times now in the last hour so I am somewhat scared which is why I googled it and found this site

I'm a 16 year old male and I get sharp pains every couple of days, sometimes two in one day. It feels like a stab, and then after 10 to 30 seconds, it feels like some blockage has been released. This all happens just below where my heart is. The pain increases dramatically when I move my shoulders, stretching my chest. I do routinely talk through them, explaining my situation to the people around me, without the pain increasing. I also started coughing recently, but I think it's unrelated. I am a physically fit teenager but I eat a lot of junk food. This all happens at random times.

Ok So Im 30, I have had PVC's for over 5 years now. Normally I don't have symptoms. You all should find out if your heart rate is abnormal before you stress out. Everyone has PVC's. When u sneeze it happens, When you jump out of fear it happens. It happens to everyone. Its when they can be named than u should worry... well really don't worry. Stress makes them worse.

Everyone's symptoms I have read here, sounds like people who are in high stress. I know I am. Cut out Coffee and Cigarettes and even Alcohol. take steps to cut stress. Teenagers u got your whole life ahead of u... its not worth it to stress so much.

I am on a beta blocker and magnesium which helps w/ my chest pain but I have not had chest pain until recently. They Have been doing more tests but really stress just makes everything worse. So First things first. Cut out stress. Do things to relax!

I try not to worry about it.. that even makes it worse... Good luck people!

I am a 46 year old male. I started having chest pains, PVC's and heart palpitations back in the spring of 2006, and some pretty good anxiety attacks. They were pretty obviously stress related, and after a lot of research on the web and some head scratching and trying different remedies, I realized that there was a pretty obvious correlation between the heart disruptions and acid reflux from my stomach. It turns out that when the esophagus is in distress, it shoots a lot of nerve impulses out to other places via the vagus nerve -- causing all the fake heart attack symptoms. It can also tickle the heart, causing ectopic heartbeats -- the PVC's. Nine times out of ten, this is what is happening when you have chest pains and irregular heartbeats and the doctors can find nothing wrong with you.

If you are having chest pains and/or heart palpitations, you should get it checked out, but if the doctors do not find symptoms of heart disease, then you should take a serious look at your digestive health, especially if you are prone to panic or anxiety attacks. Also cut out the caffeine, sugar and soda pop from your diet.

Hi, I am a 14 yr old girl, and for the past year or so, I have been getting these sharp pains in my chest, they will come and go for the whole day, sometimes even 2 days. Then they will just go again, for about a month sometimes two. When the pain keeps coming back during the day it gets worse each time. Is this pvc's or something different. If anyone can help please tell me.

Everyone needs to read post from a guest on 2/113/08...this has put my nerves at ease about my husbands stabbing pain in his chest the other night...it describes exactly what happened. You'll need to type "stabbing chest pain" in the search bar once you get to that link. Best of luck and less worrying for us all? ;-)

:o I am 17 years old and i get sharp stabbing pains in my chest at the most random of times. i became worried about it one day so i decied to go to the er one night and the dr. said it was pluacy? .... without running any tests. then i went to the dr.'s clinic since the two shots in the butt didnt work and he said it was a inflamation in my stomach, perscribed me naproxen, and something else, 2 weeks later i went again, same problems, they said i had acid reflux, and perscribed me nexium. that worked for a lil while, or just made the pain a lil suttle, and went back again, they said it was a disease of the chest and acid reflux, and then my last time i went to get my perscription refilled, i asked them to up my dosage and they said it was maximum dosage. i have to find out whats wrong with me. these pains are abnormal and painful, like im having a heart attack!! but short and can happen up to 5 times a day, on a bad day. WHATS WRONG WITH ME???

all i can say is that if youve visited the hospital and sein different cardiologist and your still worried, it pays to see a more reputable cardiologist, no mater how far you have to drive or go. im 27 and i was in 3 x different hospitals for 9months, with palpatations dat cud not be explained and done every test which came out clear and they cudnt figure it out. i was on different meds and still no change. i was told of a reputable cardiologist 2hrs a way who was also expensive, but i just needed to know wat was the cause. after one visit and $500 later, he did one ultra sound( as the hospitals have all done as well and it was clear), and he found a tiny hole in my heart which was the coz. point of the story, do wat u gada do to help yourself and hospitals arnt always right

Some of these post's symptoms sound like precordial catch syndrome aka Texidor's twinge. Something to do with the parietal pleura of the lung. I had a spontaneous pneumothorax once when i was 17. now 40, I've had this sensation, i thought was heart murmur or heart attack, but i'm pretty sure this explains what I've been feeling for the last 10 years. The sensation is similar to the collapsed lung feeling i had. i also had gone to the ER and seen a heart specialist who did the several tests (stress test with radioactive liquid) and ultrsound but found nothing out of the ordinary. I have recently been diagnosed with high cholesterol, so that is my biggest concern now with regard to heart disease.

:'( have kevin place his hands over your heart n the pain may subside. according to chinese medicine the heart is the mind. the ribs leave from the sternum with muscles intertwined. try walking with yur finger tips from yur sternum inbetween the ribs- pressure can be hard- sometimes the muscles are so constricted, that you have to REALLY get in there to release that constriction. The heart muscle can be like that, but u cant touch the heart or can u? Heart pain=go to doctor , no exception!! Y not try TCM Medicine! its looks at the body a more natural way. i so will pray for all yur pain. blessed b yur name Jesus is the Heart of the Season

I'm 13 and i have PVC s to. Don't be a afraid to go to your doctor for chest pain. I was diagnosed with the PVC s when i was only 10. Over the past three years I've had A LOT of tests done. In a week I have an appointment with my cardiologist because of the pain. Even though I'm only 13 i highly suggest that you inform your Doctor about the pain you're having. My mother use to get the same pain because she to had a arrhythmia when she was about 20years old. They had put her on medication for it and she hasn't complained about it since unless she forgets to take the medicine.
