Hi i am a 19 year old student and i have several questions about heart rate. At school we took something called an O2 test, it told us our max O2 inntake and max heart rate. My max rate was 220 beats per minute which was about 20 beats higher than anybody else in my class i also had the highest O2 even though i was one of the least trained.
what i want to know is:
Is 220 bpm normal? can it be a health risk?
Did having a heart rate of 220 anything to do with me getting a good result on my max O2?
Can your max heart rate increase if you train?
What is the avrage max heart rate of an athlete and what is the highest recorded max hearth rate of a well trained and otherwise normal man?
