I had an abortion 5 weeks ago, and found it hard with work to rest afterwards. I taken the pill from the day after the procedure and have just been on my first period which is a couple of days late. But i was a bit concerned with piercing cramping pains rather than normal period pains, I am now taking the pill again after 7 day break and am still on my period. I had mild cramping and felt a bit queezy today, and after going to the loo I passed a big clot like thing which looked like tissue which was about 4cms long was this possibly from tissue left from abortion that had not been removed and also what was causing th cramping? And do periods get back to normal quickly.
