About a week ago i started getting slightly uncomfortable on the right side of my neck on the back then the swelling increased drastically and i felt like i was being choked. Naturally i went to the hospital and 18 hours later i was finally kinda seen. After 30 hours all they can come up with is that it MAY be impacted wisdom tooth, cause that started up 3 days ago. But i had no obvious infection anywhere. They gave me antibiotics but while my tooth is now almost better my throat is still the same. I mentioned thyroids to them but didnt agree it could be the problem. I still have trouble sleeping and breathing since that feeling of being choked is sooo uncomfortable. Im a 22 year old female, never smoked, never drank. THey also said it wasnt mono, no sore throat, no other symptoms at all but the choking feeling and of course the swelling and tenderness. Please help me

Ibuprofen is a recommended drug for swelling. It wont stop it from occurring but it could help you sleep better at nights. I started getting the same problems after I moved to a new apartment. The apartment is perfect except for my bed has to be situated next to the windows and under a vent. This throat swelling is common in these regions (central america) and doesnt take much to get rid of. Try also gargling salt water. I know you said the doctors said it wasnt an infection but still never hurts to try.
