So a couple days ago my gums started swelling, it's just gotten worse. 

It's only 1 gum near the back of my wisdom tooth on the bottom.

It's gotten so swollen i cant close my mouth all the way and I can't swallow because that side of my throat is sore. 

So you can imagine how hard it is to eat. 

I've scheduled an appointment for tomorrow.that's the soonest I can get in.

I just want some advice on how to soothe the pain and what it could possibly be. Thanks
