I Recently just got my tongue pierced Friday and hour before work it was numb for a quick second and then it stung i walked to the store and bought some ice cream so i can be comfortable the reason i believe we all experience this uncomfortable swelling is because mainly its due to the pressure of the clamp that wad put in your mouth before the needle was stuck through your tongue everyone is different and experience something different wait about a good week and see right now i am very uncomfortable the top of my tongue on the left side is swollen and hurts my right side is fine the ice hurts kind of but takes some of the pain away when you eat make sure to eat ice with it and drink plenty of water eat soft foods like ice cream some preferr yougurt but i would recommend you eat frozen yogurt because the yougurt kinda slides through the hole and makes a trail of white slime i am in the stages of lisping for i cant really sing or pronounce things right im no medical expert but ive done some research just wash your mouth out after every meal use antiseptic mouth was a tooth brush with soft bristles and toothpaste thats not so minty for people who cant handle the sting i felt no sting ive been using scope mouth wash and crest tooth paste a hard tooth brush and eating ice and ice cream and soup and some hard foods its a struggle but i maintain to eat be verry careful dont want to chip your teeth hopefully we all get better soon
