Yes, I'm sure.
Just think how many lawsuits you'd read about if abortions were basically sterilizing women.
See a fertility specialist. The more common reasons for not getting pregnant include STD's and a low sperm count.

Hello,
My name is Mireya and I am 25 years old. I came across this forum whilst looking for information on infertility. I had no idea this was such a common problem for women my age, I thought I was one in a few. Anyway, I just wanted to share my story. Like many of you, when I was 18 years old, I frequently had unprotected sex with my then boyfriend. This continued for nearly five years and I never became pregnant. Now, I'm close to finishing grad school and would like to start a family soon thereafter. I became intrigued by the topic after conversing with a close friend whom conceived a beautiful baby boy after just three months of being married. Afterwards, I felt both blessed, for not having an untimely pregnancy, and a bit afraid of being infertile. I should probably mention that my former boyfriend has an 18 month old boy, and another baby on the way which further hightens my fear. Although I'm a very healthy individual and lead a relatively healthy lifestyle, I do experience somewhat irregular, and if truth be told, painful periods. This, however, is a problem I've had for the past year and a half. In my family, there is no history of infertility, nor do I have thyroid problems. All that been said, I do plan on visiting my OB/GYN and asking for a fertility check-up. As metioned earlier, I just wanted to share my story. Good luck to all!

Ok if I am reading this right, you definetly will not be able to get pregnant if you take birth control pills! Any form of birth control prevents you from getting pregnant it does not "induce" your chances, it's simply a preventative method. And as far as keeping a menstural calendar can be hard to keep track of especially if your periods are irregular. The best way to increase your chances of getting pregnant is to have intercourse every two-three days, WITHOUT any birth control methods. And of course consulting your physcian.

Sorry guest. No form of birth control is 100% effective - NONE. It does reduce the chance however. If you want a 100% effective form of birth control - abstinence is the only way.
