Tiger Balm seems to last twice as long as any other cream I've found. Morphine addiction will take up to a month to become stable.

I have had 3 lower back surgeries on L5-S1 with my spine compacting (non medics term..lol) disc ruptured and my left sciatic nerve was sliced giving me drop foot..the right one was found to be crushed...had a fusion that had to be done surgically thru the front..ms contin 15 mg the last 3 months have helped better than anyone but i hate the tired feeling if I go to bed before my next dose..it makes getting up and moving the next day hard..the constipation is worse than ever when i was on oxycontin or percocet..the type of constipation it causes the physicians say is not typical due to the morphine paralyzes your gastrointestinal so fiber, stool softeners do not help..has to be laxatives along with enemas at times..i would rather be back on percocet or oxycontin 15mg with more back pain & less side effects..so too the one that wrote in saying cowboys and cowgirls are fused..none I know are..i was on a Harley Davidson when my spine screwed up!

Many people have had great luck with a botanical product from Southeast asia called Kratom. The media makes it out to be something bad, but the results are there. Nearly 3 million people in the US self-treat with it. Red Dawn and Mahakam River Maeng Da are two that many of our clients think are particularly helpful. The risks are much less than those of the pharma counterparts.

Drink a lot of liquids, eat as much as you can as both of these will help flush it from your system. I quit cold turkey from a 5 year 60 mg morphine regimen prescribed by my doc. It is wicked. I've had muscle cramps that turned mt feet and knees sideways. Thought bones were going to break . I was screaming. Heat helps with the contractions. Hot bath -soak for a while. It helps. Be strong. If you go back to taking morphine...it will only make it harder next time. I am still going thru it..body pain, rapid heartbeat, stomach pain..a whole bunch of c**p that makes you want to scream...but as time passes it will lessen. Even if that seems impossible to believe.Be strong. and keep true to yourself and the goal that will make it so much better. Good luck Frenchie! I'll be thinking of you as we share some of these pains and problems.

I was taking 35mg of morphine a day for as little as32 days and as my pain for a tumour on the spine had eased I decided to stop taking the pills, well that's when it all started hot and cold sweats unable to sleep don't want food and live on the toilet.
I am now on day 4 without morphine , but the withdrawal symptoms still persist and the pain in my back is worse than ever. I spoke to my doctor who said I should have tapered of the morphs but suggested co codal for the back pain but only take for three days no more
. Can anyone tell me how long the withdrawal symptoms last.

I was on 35 mg a day for 33 days as my pain had stopped I decided to stop the morphine big mistake hot and cold sweats flu symptoms and stuck on the loo. I am now in my 4 day without the c**p but my pain has returned big time.
Went to GP who told me to take cocodamol for the pain stupid dr did not tell me that cocodamol make morphine in the body
As I have only taken it for one day hope I have not delayed my withdrawal process. The only thing I can say after four days you will see the light at the end of the tunnel my flu has started to clear and manage 4 hours sleep last night and not on the toilet all day so stick with it my friend , to become clean again will be great for your family and life will be worth living again.

stay away from Tramadol...you cant imagine how dangerous this drug is. As you take it the less it helps...so you take more...then the next event will be a seizure...please believe me ......Ive seen it happen first hand.

You are the first person I have found who was on a low dose and still had issues getting off the stuff. While I was in rehab after my back surgery they put me on 15 mg on at night and sent me home with a 30 day prescription. Big problem, none of my doctors at home will deal with the morphine and just told me to skip a day then go back for a day then skip 2 days etc. Well I didn't last the the first skip. I cut the pills in half, even tho they say not too. And I tried skipping from there. Still an awful time. Of course I'm still having horrible pain period. But now I have cut the pill again and am trying that. I have hydrocodone and even some oxy to take but I have kicked that so why go back to one to get off another? Now my back pain isn't as bad as neuropathy that I have developed in my feet after severe swelling. I still can't wear shoes. I feel like such a chicken not to be able to kick 7.5 mg once a day. Hoping that half of that for a week will help me go to 0 and then try Benadryl. How did you finally do it since it has been over a year? I am assuming you have.
