Couldn't find what you looking for?

I've been training for my first marathon this Sunday, and what once was hurting feet only after the longest of my long runs has turned, in the last week or so, into a dull ache around my arches and ankles whenever I stand.
When I went for my long run this week (not so long, really), it seemed to hurt less after about the fourth mile, but I'm pretty worried about the big day. Is there anything I can do between now and Sunday? or anything I can do in the future to prevent this?

I wouldn't go with new shoes this late in the game, but for me, when my shoes start to wear out -- my feet start to hurt.

There might be other things going on in your case, but I wanted to mention the shoe thing. I usually go about 300-400 miles on a pair of shoes before I replace them.
