Hi Guest,

Pubic hair is a VERY clear sign that you are in puberty.

pubic hair, and your balls will  grow much bigger, produce sperm, at last you can see that your penis will be longer and thicker. Another thing we can't see, is your sexual needs. We humans are different about it, and we get boners all the time, even in the classroom when it is your turn to solve a math question. The teacher says,come here right now!. You answers: no,I don't understand anything of it! That is why you shall stand here within 5 seconds. You walks slowly forward, with one hand in your pocket, for hiding an erect penis. A big map is falling down,and you hold  the map with both hands. Now can everyone see an erect penis inside your pants, I bet you will experience this, like the rest of us. The teacher can be embarrassed, but he is an adult,and can deal with it. But all girls in your class will giggle and laugh, they  teases you much and it comes  comments about shape and size.     If you dare, you pull down your pants, and ask them if they wants to try 15 cm penis. After this will it go back to normaly relation between you and them. BUT some of them will certainly ask you if you can let them look,touch,

If you dare, you pull down your pants, and ask them if they wants to try 15 cm penis. After this will it go back to normaly relation between you and them. BUT some of them will certainly ask you if you can let them look,touch,measure, take pics, see it when it is erect, and let you learn them how to masturbate a boy. Enjoy it, now it will possibly  be years till the next time a girl gives you sex.

If you search for the Tanner puberty scale you do the quiz to see if you have started puberty and if so what stage you are in and there is good information on growth and development and like Dan siad hair growth is a good indication.

I'm replying to Dan, rather than to the guy who asked the original question to get a date on this conversation. But, about the base question;
Most boys begin after their 12th birthday and look all-but-complete by their 14th birthday. A few early-bloomers could start a couple of years before this range and a few late-bloomers could be showing no signs of puberty on their 14th birthday, but both are extremely rare.
The best sign is an increase in size, but that happens gradually. At the height of puberty, your penis will look no bigger today than it looked yesterday, of last week. I probably doubled in size before I realized I had begun my eagerly awaited puberty. How can you tell earlier that you've begun? The best resource to have for spotting the beginning of puberty is a dressing-room where you can see boys of all ages naked together. Compare yourself with the boys who have clearly not begun puberty. They would be in the 8-12 year old range and will have one and a half inch penises. Comparing yourself to them, you should be able to see you've begun when you are in the two to two and a half inch range. There are reports that some guys get length first and thicken up later, but from what I've seen, the length to thickness proportions stay about the same all the way through puberty for most boys.
Your testicles will also grow proportionately to your penis, but it is easier to spot the change that will show up in your scrotum. As your testicles mature, your scrotum will allow them to hand down. This has to do with keeping the testicles cooler than the rest of the body, so you'll see it on warm days. From the comments I've read, "swinging balls" is a highly desirable look for boys.
As others have mentioned, the arrival of hair is another sign of the arrival of puberty, but it shows up halfway through the process, and first shows up as dowdy hair that is so fine that you have to get a really close look to spot it. The good news, for those who want to advertise, pubic hair shows up shortly after. By my 14th birthday, I had "100' pubic hair". If you saw me naked 100' away, you could see I had pubic hair. Guys also proudly announce that they have "hair on my balls". Not true. That hair is on their scrotum, but they never give it credit.
Boys have erections from birth, and play with themselves from the time they find it feels good. They can have "dry orgasms" before anything is going to happen. In the early stages of puberty, they will find themselves pumping out clear fluid. Once they have reached a certain level of maturity, the fluid will be milky. If you see this before you think you have begun puberty, you have missed a lot of clues. Congratulations! But now you have to use your ability responsibly.
