I am pregant with my first child in my 20's. My husband and I tried for 2 years to have children and finally had success. As soon as I found out I immediately scheduled a doctors appointment and they took blood work. When the test results came back they stated my Progesterone level was low 7.6 to be specific (I would have been 4-5 weeks pregnant at the time). I just went back for more blood work and the good news is that the Prometrin they prescribed me raised my level to 13.6 in five days. My doctor said to take two Prometrin pills instead of 1 to bump the level up above 18. In the back of my head I'm constantly thinking that the Prometrin I am taking will not be enough and that I will miscarry. How common is this that they prescribe prometrin, and how effective is prometrin? Does anyone have any success stories? I'm very nervous....
Thank you :O)

I was given progestrone shots with my first child because I had spotting and cramping. It stopped that and I had a healthy baby. Trust your doctor! The progestrone will help to sustain pregnancy but I have been told a pregnancy is vibal or is not, no pill by itself can determine that. Good luck!
