Hi! I need some information from somebody who has experience with constrictive pericarditis or knows something more about it. Few days ago I read in some newspaper about this heart illness and since then I can not stop think about it. I’m afraid that I have it. How to diagnose constrictive pericarditis?

First I need to tell you that constrictive pericarditis is very difficult to diagnose. Sometimes the examination of the neck veins may show that the jugular venous pressure is elevated. Usually chest x-ray, echocardiogram and chest MRI are very useful. Your doctor will maybe ask from you to do certain blood test also.
