I'm 12 years old, 5'1" and weigh about 106 pounds. I want to lose some fat and weight but I don't know how. The members of my family are health freaks, and I play basketball and run a mile every two weeks plus 7 minutes every other day. I constantly play sports and eat healthily and I am strong but I don't know why I'm not losing weight. I've been doing this for about 1 1/2 years now and nothing has changed. Besides my weight gradually climbing as I grow. I want to get into a healthier weight zone (if that's what you call it) but don't want to go on a diet in case it affects my growth. I'm not sure what it is. It can't be muscle cause even though I'm pretty strong I still have a lot of physical fat, and it isn't in my genes. Maybe I eat too much? If that's the case, how much am I supposed to eat?

Okay, first off you shouldn't even be worried about your weight at 12 . You should enjoy playing outside! lol
I am also a fellow athlete and I know muscle weighs more than fat. You sound compeletly healthy for your height and I wouldn't lose weight if I were you. Have you talked to your parents about this problem. Since they are health freaks I bet they would help you!:-D
Also, eat 3 meals a day only! If you are super hunger one snack! Drink lots of water ,too! If you still want to lose weight look at my other convos about losing weight and I bet you would find some good advice!
GOOD LUCK,
Mira
