I have been taking one capsule of cymbalta 30mg daily for a year now. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but I am trying to wean myself off it. The most I have been able to be without it is a day because I get like these horrible electric zaps in my brain. Anyone had any experience with the 30 mg capsules?
I have those brain zaps also, when I miss just one dose! I really want to stop this medication, but the doctor doesn't seem interested in my side affect.
I am also considering weaning off Cymbalta 30 mg. I feel like it's made me gain a lot of weight (anyone else with this problem?). I have also found that if I miss even one dose, I get those same electric zaps in my head and I become quite agitated. I read one woman who said her daughter is being weaned off and that she is removing part of the capsule each day, little by little. I am considering this, but want to read more about it. Nice to hear someone else gets those zaps and it's not just me!
I am on Cymbalta 60 mg. 1x30 mg in the morning and 1x30 mg at bedtime.
Can you explain how to wean off Cymbalta in laymen's terms?
Thank you.
Julie
