Hello I found out about 3months ago i have HPV and i am at high risk for cerivcal cancer. I got a freezing thing done and i go back every 3months for a year. Does that mean it could go away for good? EVER?
Is that a possibilty at all? please say its so!
Also i am still having sex and we have been having sex for over a year now. I don't know when or how i got it he could have given it to me and not known he had it or the other way around. Plus i heard you can get it even when you use a condom because you can get it through skin to skin contact!!
He doesn't know his mother says it wouldnt matter if i told him because one it wouldnt do any good telling him because i guess it doesnt really affect men. (just warts) i also heard that on many websites and im not sure but im sure my doctor said something along the lines of that.
Plus they are not very sure how to treat men either. So Him not knowing and probably having it and us still having sex could that make my issue with HPV get worse? Like could it make my cells get worse after i some what got treated?
would using spermaside make any effect with my hpv or cells after i got treatment or would it do anything bad for me in that area? *just wondering?*
WARTS-The doctor didnt say anything about me having warts when i went and i do have pimple like things everyone in awhile and so does he i mean they pop and white stuff comes and both of us have the same issue when it comes to that, and you know how that is some arent ready to pop so they wont and stuff like that ect... so besides that it doesnt seem like he has warts if he has the same issue as me and my doctor never said i had them that would mean he proabably doesnt either?!
:( Also we are worried about getting pregnant. I dont know if i am but if i was Would that pass to the baby? Also one time not long ago i had some stringy clear mucus like discharge it was not very much at all (very little) but what does that mean? Does that have anything to do with HPV or getting pregnant?

PLease write me some advice because i am very confused and need help!

I'm dealing with the same problem. 1st it's a virus it stays in the blood. 2nd having sex won't make it worse unless you get infected with another strain of HPV (there are 3 or more types that cause cancer). 3rd I would tell him...even though it doesn't effect men it means that he could potentially be a carrier of the virus. 4th if it is an aggressive form like the 1 I'm dealing with it will come back. 5th warts don't pop and the doctor should have noticed that on examination if there is(was) a problem. 6th the virus is carried in the blood but that does not mean you child will have any symptoms or pass it on. 7th discharge is normal and changes during a woman's normal cycle but it could be a side effect of the HPV or the cryotherapy.

I have HPV also and have had it since I was about 16. I am now 25 with a child and have not had any problems. I had cryo done once also because there were pre-cancer cells. After I had it done once, I've never had any other problems and so far the cancer cells have not come back. Of course, I have to go to the gyno every year without missing so they can check. I was told when I was 16 that it depends on what type you have if you'll have problems or not. Many people live a normal life and don't realize they have it. As for men, most of the time they don't show any signs of it and don't know they have it, but I would definitely tell him. Don't worry about having it. I don't even remember I have it until it's mentioned. As for the warts, they don't pop. If you shave down there it could be ingrown hairs that do that. I've had that happen before to me. You will not be able to pass it on to your child if you get pregnant. However, the doc did tell me that if you have an outbreak of warts at the time of delivery it's possible that you could transmit it to the baby, but that is very rare. You do get discharge from the cryo because all of the dead cells that were sloughed off will come out. You are not supposed to have sex for a few weeks after until the discharge stops and not supposed to wear tampons.
