I have been on Hydrocortisone for two years, and slowly I have watched my hair get thinner. I cut myself off of HC but it's still falling out by hand fulls. I am freaking out...I have always had awesome hair, my doctor use to always compliment me because he was bald. What do I do now? There's no balding in my family and my dad just passed away at age 80 with thick head of hair. Can someone tell me what to do? Please

I was on HC for 3 years for adrenal insufficiency. It really didn’t help, but every time I would try to wean off, my hair and eyelashes would fall out. My hair also got very frizzy and hard to manage. I finally weaned off completely about 4 months ago and my hair still hasn’t stopped falling out! It slows down every so often then speeds up. It’s so frustrating and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I will say, the hair that is growing back in now looks healthier, more like my hair prior to taking the HC. It would have been nice if the doctor would have warned me that this could happen, I NEVER would have agreed to taking it.
