They are commonly referred to as "lint bugs" or Morgellons Disease. I got bed bugs and lint bugs from an airport shuttle 4 weeks ago. I believe the lint bugs which look like sand, lint or hair may be a juvenile bed bug. They are white when alive, red after feeding and black when dead. They act like bed bugs and all the things that kill bed bugs kills also kills lint bugs. They crawl and inflict a painful bite. They do like hair and anything with bristles. Like bed bugs they don't like heat. To get them off your head, shower with as hot as water you can without burning yourself. 91% alcohol kills them and I spray some on my head before shampooing. Use a hairdryer on hot setting. They hang on brushes so run hot water over you hair brush and tooth brush before using. Run your night clothes and towels through a dryer high heat cycle every day. Do all the recommended things for bed bugs and your problem should go away. I used a bed bug product called EcoRaider and it kills them but effect is delayed. I sprayed it on my bed, bathroom counter and sinks and baseboards. They hide under the rim of the sink and toilet seat hinge, bowl rim and base. They run fast when you start spraying so move quickly to cut off their escape. They can go 3 feet in one minute. The good news is that you can get rid of them but it takes several weeks and you are not crazy. If you sit in one place for a couple of hours, they will come to you following the CO2 you exhale. If you put bed bug interceptors on the bottom of the chair feet and spray some EcoRaider on the floor around the chair you can create a kill zone so they march to their death. It works better on a hard surface area. Vacuum the room after sitting to get any stragglers. I am 3 weeks into it and starting to see reduced numbers. Initially there were millions of them.

It pisses me off that people are convinced that they have something called "Morgellons".... It's not fricking "Morgellons", it's a mite living on your skin, but you diagnose yourself with spores, combella, worms and other outrageous things to make yourself feel better. Trust me... If you have something crawling on your skin, plus itching, then trust me when I say you have some form of scabies or bird mites. If you've treated with permethrin and still have trouble, then it is your environment, roommates, or pets that are reinfecting you. You don't have to sweat every day over cleaning unless you have crusted scabies, which would be very apparent.. but just wiped down your furniture from time to time to be safe. What you have is 99% scabies or another type of mite. No, they are not immune to permethrin and no, essential oils will not kill them. Nor will bleach or windex. I noticed a huge difference after using Kleen Free spray, and sulfur soap. Sulfur is the cheapest and best alternative to getting rid of mites that are bothersome to your skin...You just have to be consistent with use. You can use permethrin 5 billion times and it won't work if you are being reinfected environmentally. Right now, my reinfection is my house mates and my cat... Just gave my cat revolution for the first time 2 days ago, but it probably wont work because my house mates wont clean, treat themselves and don't believe scabies even exists.. so they pet my cat and reinfect him, which reinfects me.. Can't wait to get out of this house.
