Heya, i got 2 k-wires taken out of the lower bone in my thumb yesterday, i forget the exact name of the bone but the point is since they took the cast of (2 days ago) my hand and wrist have been hurting, alot.
And since yesterday when they took the pins out its been absolute agony, im loading on painkillers all the time and it still hurts like hell.
Is this normal?

That's unfortunate to hear that you're in so much pain. I would say that you're not experiencing normal pain, although it's been acouple days since you posted this so I whonder if you're doing better? if you are or you aren't, can you please come back and tell us how you're doing? I'd like to hear because it sounds to me like you are doing pretty badly, at least in terms of your pain. Let me know!

Its been almost a week now and its still excruitating pain, i went to a GP on monday and he told me it was infected, i started antibiotics tuesday morning along with tramadol painkillers, along with paracetomal and ibuprofen, the pain is slightly subsiding with the hits of paracetomal, but its been 6 hours since i took those 2 and it is now very very agonising.
Not sure what to do really, i cant work and its infurating that i seem to be getting no where in the healing process.

I am scheduled for an MRI on my left knee, but I have permanent k wires in my left wrist. Is it safe for me to have an MRI?

I had metacarpal bones surgery and now my wires are moving when I move my fingers. Why does this happen to me? Can anyone tell me? I just worry about whether the bone is healing properly or not.
